40K? damn. Have you upgraded all your castles? I have mine up to about level 18.
I bought extra walls for my castles instead of spending donuts on them. If I don’t have enough walls by Tuesday, I’m not going to care that much. I can hide gaps with trees and decorations or combine castles.
Since the nerds we could buy today can be placed in KL, I’m hoping the castles can go there. I have plenty of room still in my Springfield, but I have lots more room in KL and I think they’d look better there.
I’ve got about 15 cheaters saved up, and before this is over I’m gonna go medieval on someone’s town.

I burned 29 cheaters day before yesterday. Very fun.
I tried this, but could only buy walls/towers for the main castle with elixir; Castle Recyc - er, Recycle - and Boxingham Palace required donuts.
I certainly don’t want chained-up nerds left behind in my town. That’s creepy.
The 2nd and 3rd castles have walls that can be purchased after they reach level 20. It takes a lot of elixir to level up and purchase the walls, however.
Halloween is definitely coming soon. Maybe Tuesday. There was a notification on my device today that said to get ready for it.
Mine, too. Rumor is that it is more or less immediately following this event. I’ve never seen back-to-back events before. It will be about 2 months since we had a non-event situation.
The Halloween event has started and the Clash of the Clones is over. Finally, our long national nightmare is over. 
Here is a very well put together run down of the Halloween event and how to earn everything. I think the event looks good. No random chance and hopefully we can earn everything by visiting neighbors every day.

Wow! I wasn’t exactly a slouch and my Homer only got up to 45 in comparison.

I ended up buying 8 more windmills, 4 more hay carts, and another guillotine. I didn’t necessarily want them, but I didn’t want all that elixir to go to waste either. And I didn’t see the sense in upgrading castles (I stopped at level 16 for each of them)-- they were producing too many nerds to quickly as it was.
I’m glad that update is over. It lasted way too long.
At least the mists are more around the edges, rather than the pea-soup gloom from last year.
The “store” behaves differently now with “random” suggestions of things we might want to spend donuts on.
The store is actually a permanent redesign.
I am waiting for more and more folks to be active in the collecting so I can visit more people and get more stuff for me. I like there is a local leaderboard so I know who is playing the most.
I didn’t see the leaderboard, that sounds kind of cool. I strayed a bit from friend’s Springfields (sorry everyone) at the end of the last theme because it became so time consuming, but I’ll be coming back to everyone’s for this one. I do wish that the trick or treating kids would be shorts than 8 hours, that would get me to play a little more, but what are you gonna do?
