I’d love a “send everyone who’s available on a XX hour task” button
tapping thru almost every available character is maddening.
As long as you remember to assign the “special cases” individually first - for example, Krusty’s 12-hour task pays more than his 24-hour task because it comes down to getting paid for 2 12-hour tasks (Krusty and Mr. Teeny) as opposed to a 24-hour task (Krusty) and nothing (AFAIK, Mr. Teeny’s only task is the one with Krusty).
Also, doesn’t Bart have two 12-hour tasks -“go to Sunday School” and “ride on Stampy”, IIRC?
I get unreasonably annoyed when Krusty is doing something else and the Mr. Teeny icon is sitting in the upper left unusable.
Me too. I think I stored Krustyburger so that Krusty shows up after Mr. Teeny on the character finder. Same thing so that Marge shows up after Artie Ziff since his only 24 hour task is a joint one with Marge.
I sent Homer to clean up that weird piece of debris that Lisa got stuck on the other day and now he’s stuck too. I must have a buggy piece of debris. I’m hoping EA can manually delete it somehow or I guess I’m done cleaning up Springfield for good (can’t take the chance that they won’t try to clean the buggy one instead of a different patch).
I’m having a problem, a few days ago I had to do a factory reset on my phone and just got around to reinstalling TO yesterday and now I can’t turn off Push Notifications so now Homer yells at me every few hours. It’s turned off in the settings, but I’m still getting notifications that things are done or ready to be dealt with.
Any thoughts on that?
Do you mean turned off in the in-game settings? Also go to your phone settings->application manager
Go to Tapped Out, uncheck ‘Show notifications’
You probably did this once before but forgot about it.
The above settings assume Android. I don’t know if you have to do anything extra for apple devices.
It’s an Android (Droid Maxx), but I don’t have anything called Application Manager. I have Apps, but that’s really just for uninstalling things and clearing cache. I’ve disabled ‘push notifications’ in-game, but that’s clearly not doing it. I hate to unistall/re-install, but it may come to that (and I’ve tried turning Push Notifications on and back off a few times).
I’m not sure if it’ll apply directly o the Droid Maxx, but to be clearer on the steps I have to take:
-Click on ‘Settings’ under Apps. Mine looks like a gear.
-On the top tab, click on ‘More’
-Under System manager, i have an option to select ‘Application Manager’
-Scroll down to ‘Tapped Out’ and select
If those aren’t your steps, there must still be some way to alter individual app settings separate from inside the app settings.
I don’t have that. My Apps is under settings, but there’s no ‘settings’ under apps. My apps list is just a list of apps and nothing more, clicking on an item just gives me a few options, basically Clear Cache on Uninstall.
I just checked it again and there is a box (checked) that said “Show Notifications”, I unchecked it so at least it’ll stop nagging me every time someone visits my town. With any luck, if it doesn’t display notifications, maybe it won’t announce them either (a display at the top came with the push notifications as well).
We’ll see what happens.
Yes, that’s it. I had to turn off ‘Show Notifications’ as well as turn off push notifications in the game itself to keep Homer from yelling at me.
I played the game for the first time in a week or so and it had a Thanksgiving update and the game gave a Pilgrim outfit for Flanders and an Indian girl outfit for Lisa and then I got distracted and forgot about it and so I haven’t seen what else is going on.
Daily prizes this week. Keep coming back.
I haven’t had Homer since Friday… Curse you, EA. What’s so weird is it took 10 minutes to fix the same problem with Lisa last week.

Homer came back with at least 15 donuts. Woo hoo! Ned and Lisa are chilling like villains at their feast, and Wiggum and Krusty had to move their table to be next to them to serenade them.
I’m not sure what’s going on either. Are the quest lines supposed to be only one part per day?
Yes. I misunderstood and thought there were prizes each day, but it’s that the holiday quests advance each day.
Starting tomorrow every hour will release a new Gil deal. You buy ABC premium item and get XYZ donuts back as a rebate. Approx 15% back is the number I saw thrown around. I guess once it cycles through it’ll start from the beginning, so if you miss something it won’t be the ONLY chance. Not everything is going to be available (I want Barney discounted because 250 is way too much), but some things are. I guess on Monday there will be some new items for sale.
