The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It was somewhat odd anyway that Willie would go ‘bounce’ a kid in there. The animation is not helping.

My third tunnel has a task for Homer but I just sent him on a 24 hour task per the Santa quest. Grrr. Look out for that.

As always, a day late and a dollar short. Just started building the toy shop. Hope I get time/remember to log in tonight.

I did the same thing. You mean 4th tunnel, correct?
At least the tunnel timer doesn’t seem to start until you start the first task.

Oop, yes I meant the 4th tunnel.

So I guess the thing to take from this is check the tunnels first, which should be obvious.

Your tunnel timer does not start until you start the first task. So while I couldn’t put Homer on his tunnel task today because he’s on strike, he’ll be available tomorrow and my clock hasn’t started ticking yet.

And even if you can’t complete all 3 tunnel tasks in a day, you only miss out on the BONUS, which so far seems to just be presents. You get the prize as long as you complete the task eventually.

…oh crap.

So another month of setting my wake up alarm to 0300 in the morning so I can get up and finish tasks before the end-of-day deadline. Another month of logging in and playing Tapped Out during business meetings and on the bus. Arrgh! I’m logging in again now. Dammit.

Seems like most of the tasks so far are for Homer, Lisa, and Apu. What’s up with that?

Events are always like that. Homer, Lisa, and Apu are the first characters you get in the game so the event is playable even by people who just started.

It’s very annoying that there are going to be constant conflicts between characters needed to do the main Christmas quest line and characters needed to do the daily tunnel tasks.

What’s more annoying is the need to log in every 4 hours or forego the prizes.

I would have preferred the Stonecutters system where all the tasks were completable by multiple candidates, using categories for them.

I agree. However the nice innovation is that now the 24 hour clock doesn’t start in the middle of the night like Stonecutter’s and that you can save up your tunnel tasks if you can’t log on for a couple days.

That is a cool addition. Also, there are some Stonecutter-type tasks, like have a high roller do such and such, it’s just been Homer, Lisa, and Apu for the majority do far.

What is this “Fed Button” that it says I can hit to send Feds to my friends’ Springfields? I see no “Fed Button”.

It seems easier to collect stuff than it was for the halloween one.
I just opened Rod and Todd and Selma and Patty recently and have long quests for all of them. S&P have a 24 hour quest waiting for Homer, so it looks like that’s not going to get done for a while. Oh well.

The Fed button doesn’t open up for a bit (after a few tasks for Homer), but when it does, it just makes it easier to collect presents. Town opens, tap the Fed three times, move on to the next town. No swiping around looking for them.

It will be at top right.

Someone sent me TWO Feds which opened a task requiring me to tap on THREE Feds! So thanks a lot to whoever left that task sitting in my task bar, if you would be so kind as to drop another Fed in my town I’d appreciate it.

I’ve only gotten 2 Feds so far - one last night and one this morning.

I still don’t have a good rhythm going to balance the tasks. Ned and his sons will be snowmobiling for the next six hours, and I just realized that I’m about to need him to go knit a cheery Christmas sweater.

Are you sure you haven’t just overlooked the third Fed? It’s easy to know for sure; once you’ve tapped all the Feds in your town, a dialog box will pop up saying, “You cleared all the Feds from your town…for now.”

That last Fed is a bastard to find, IME. Not to mention when you try to tap him, it inevitably selects everything but him. Very frustrating.

sigh
Everything is coming up Homer. He’s the last task in the next two tunnels, but is finishing up a 24 hour strike. At least it let me put everyone on overnight tasks without worry.
