I think you get the mystery box deal every 2000 presents. Not the burns-every-five-days box, but the “you’ve leveled up! pick a box” mystery box.
Be careful though… I did it, and rebuilding is a bit more pain in the assy than you might expect. I thought “Oh, here’s my chance to line everything up so the houses and businesses are laid out a little cleaner”…

So, does anyone know how these “cogwheels” are collected?
Only the Simpsons would give you a game where you shoot bottled elves out of a rapid-fire cannon. No idea on the cogwheels yet, but I think what we mostly need for the new prizes is bells.
Apparently you have to get the cannon control building to start the cogwheel upgrades to the cannon.

Anyone else having login problems?
The app has been glitchy for me for the last 18 hours or so. Sometimes I can get in, but usually it just crashes. I’ve never had a problem before so I’ll chalk it up as a minor annoyance that will resolve soon.
Haven’t been able to login at all.
I can occasionally get on. There were probably long periods where I couldn’t get on but didn’t even notice because I wasn’t trying to.
I’m doing ok so far. I spent donuts for the first time to rush a task last night. I didn’t want to stay up until midnight for Homer to finish and for me to start collecting elves and bells for real and I knew I wouldn’t have a chance until tonight, so I rushed it for 2 donuts towards the end. I just now got the thing that makes you collect the cogs.
I hope we have a nice long break before Valentine’s. I am so close to being tapped out.
Oh, also? Does it sound like the elves are making sex noises to anyone else when you tap on them? I feel like they’re jingling their bells and I’m eavesdropping.
I can log on now, but I also switched devices so I don’t know if that helped or not.
Mine downloaded a couple of small updates, and all seems fine now. Some dev was working today, I guess.
Is anyone else’s Sideshow You broken? If I click it, it just blinks instead of taking me to its screen.
