The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It was demolished in Season 10 - specifically, the episode “Viva Ned Flanders”.

I think they’re waiting for me to make another large cash purchase. I’m this close to the Sunsphere and the Escalator to Nowhere…

Actually, I still need 400K more XP to get to Level 50, so I probably could buy the Sunsphere and then have enough money for the new Level 50 building by the time I actually get to Level 50

Okay, I just spent pretty much all of my cash on the Abandoned Warehouse, so it’s safe to bring out Level 50.

Oh, and if you’re like me and had problems trying to find a place where the game would let you put the warehouse, it has to go on the pier.

Aaahhh! The font! It burns! The goggles, they do nothing!

I like the effect and that things are changed up. Plus I’m not a font-noticer. I LIKE Comic Sans.

However, I think it’ll get old fast.

But if the worst thing I can say is that the visuals are jarring, it’s going to be a great event. My building finishes in half an hour and I hope I can really start playing then. I hate the 24-hour wait we usually have, but this is a slow trickle of “just one more task?” and nothing has really happened.

Great event so far.

You collect carbon rods from criminals in town, criminals in other towns, and for clicking on the red phones in other towns.

Then, the game adds abroretium or something that allows you to upgrade your tower so it gets more carbon rods.

Neat even, lots of new characters and costumes, and it seems cool. I’m over 1,000 rods in one day.

new update? awww… appstore isn’t letting me download it. I think its a sign. I don’t have time this week anyway.

This friggin’ update added a freakin’ siren. It is so f’n annoying. I thought I had this game fully shut up. If I find the programmer who did this, I am removing his fingernails. And all the bones in his fingers. One at a time.

32 days? I have a feeling I’ll be burnt by Sunday. Ugh.

Yeah, not a fan of the siren either.

Did anyone get the pig? Is it worth it? I’ve got 123 donuts and I’ve been just sitting on them for quite a while. My last donut purchase was the mutant rabbit and I’m mildly disappointed in that. Mostly just because right after I send it on a task, I lose control of the game for a moment. I find that distracting.

What’s the spawn rate for these “sneaky crooks”?

If I swipe to one side of my town, and go back a second later, they’re everywhere again

Is there a notification that pops up you’ve tapped all of them, or do they just continually spawn?

I don’t think there’s a notification if you get all the sneaky crooks. I don’t know their rate or if there is a maximum.

I got SpiderPig and the crap silo. I love it. I think it’s a good value. There are few character/building combos that are that cheap. Plus it’s hilarious and he’s such an awesome character. He also can collect rods (and whatever comes next) for the event.

The silo makes a fart noise when you tap on it and when Plopper is on one of his tasks, he climbs to the top and spews green gas out of his butt. It’s disgustingly hilarious.

What’s worse is, it acts as a push notification even if you have push notifications turned off.

A good Tapped Out event meets the following requirements for me:

  1. It’s fun.

  2. If you play daily, you should have a good chance to get all the new items without spending donuts. You should feel pushed, but not overwhelmed.

  3. Random chance should be minimized. No wheel of chance.

This event, so far, meets all of these requirements. I’m enjoying the little story, like the new characters and outfits, and feel that daily play will get me through.

However, we are only on part one. Who knows how hard they will make getting the next “issues” stuff?

I’m enjoying it so far.

Here’s a link to the Simpsons wiki that spells out the whole event. CAUTION: it spoils the whole event so if you want to discover it on your own don’t clicky. Although it does do it in order so you can look at just what you’re doing now and not look ahead.

I like looking ahead to see what rewards I want to go for.

…and his fighting style with the felons (let’s just call them “methane attacks”) is disgustingly hilarious as well. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t see why that’s a real problem.

In any case, I’m enjoying this so far as well. I just wish there was a notification that you got all the criminals available. Also, I keep trying to click on characters like Legs, Louie, and Abraham Lincoln, as well as others that kinda look like the criminals when scrolling quickly.

Legs and Louie are the worst, also during the Fed part of Christmas. In other people’s towns, Father “I have a very particular set of sacraments” Sean is also confusing.

Legs and Louie just live at the new prison now in my town.

I got Clownface today and already got bonus donuts. I might make out like a bandit in this event. Not as many as Halloween, but it’s nice to have a chance to get some, unlike Easter and other lesser events

It is looking unlikely I get clownface before the event moves on to issue 2. Does that mean I have to use some of my issue 2 time catching up, or do I lose the chance to get clownface? I don’t remember what they did with Halloween with the protein strands/Ray guns/etc

I’m pretty sure it switches over to the next “currency”, so Clownface might be a loss.

I was lucky enough to get him last night, and am now hoarding bad guys for the switch over tomorrow morning.
