This morning I had enough crap to get the Zenith Lofts and the Apartments (guess I was wrong on it taking forever)
The Storefront and Zenith Tower(?) are next
And I just hit Dr Colossus a minute ago - w00t !
Now I’m debating whether to try for some bonus donuts, or to put off tapping my buildings until the next “issue” (although I’ll still tap the Fro-dudes for the lockpics and crystals). Maybe one set since its a few days away.
Having a town full of untapped buildings can net a lot at the start of the next issue !
You don’t get any extra swag (picks/capes/cuffs) from tapping buildings, do you?
You’ve got 5 days. Unless your friends never visit, it sounds like you’d be wasting a lot of opportunities by waiting. This second issue seems to make it pretty easy to get donuts, I think I’ll hit it more than a few times.
Capes seem pretty easy to get, handcuffs are more problematic.
So. Bartman. Is he worth getting? I have the donuts, but it’s not something I’ve been dying to get. I don’t know how much I would use the skin, as Bart spends most of his time with Stampy. It feels wrong to pass, but I’m not eager. Will I be kicking myself in April if I don’t get it?
Why would you wait? I’ve been tapping away every 4 hours or so and I have the phone booth (can get at least a couple), the lofts, and the apartment. I’m on my way to the paper. I’ve also gotten bonus donuts three times now. I’m on pace to get them like every 18-20 hrs (give or take). Tapping on buildings gives those crystals I think. You need them to level up your tower (I’m at level 20) which pays out more pies. All my new heroes are either with felons or doing the 8hr pie activity.
Ok I just checked. You get Friend Points and Pies. I think the strategy should be primarily to get donuts, but that’s me. The rainbow Afro dudes is where you get all the other swag, it seems.
The way it timed out yesterday, I think I got three bonus boxes. Today’s looking like just one, maybe two tomorrow. And several more days to go. Not quite raining donuts like Halloween, but it’s definitely a steady drizzle.
My memory might be shoddy, but I don’t remember Halloween being that great. Meanwhile I’ve gotten at least 60 donuts (lost count) from just pie bombs and 1 or 2 levels. It’s the first time in awhile I started worrying about money because I always go for the max donuts which can cost $300k.
I noticed today while tapping in another town that tapping a running leprechaun will get you some money and XP. I think this was mentioned before but I didn’t know it was still there. It’s not a lot, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
Halloween had the missiles you could shoot at the UFOs in friends’ towns which often would give you 30 donuts. I got well over 100 donuts at halloween, and maybe over two or three.
I could be wrong, but there are two leprechauns. One gives you money and one just runs away.
Anyone get Homer’s car before some dumbass at EA coded it to end in 2014 instead of 2015? I’m assuming it will be fixed tomorrow and wasn’t sure if it was worth it. I usually don’t spring for just decos, but how can I resist something so iconic?
With the phones counting only one per visit, and only one visit per 24 hours, it looks like it’s just not meant for anybody not actually part of the network to be able to complete The Collector’s tasks. Have all these special episodes been booby-trapped like this?
The thing is, even if I wanted to have to log into Origin every time, I also have the game on my phone, and presumably can’t have more than one ID. Feh.

Just register for the damn thing. I don’t like EA either, but all your data is gone if it crashes.
I currently have 470 of those stupid phones. As capes and handcuffs are more limiting, I don’t have anything to spend them on, and I don’t particularly want dozens of phone booths. I wish I could give you some.
Why couldn’t you have more than one ID? It would be a pain to log in multiple times, but doable. I have had friends who obviously have 2 accounts. Seems a bit excessive, but whatever. Once you log in, you stay logged in for quite some time (months?).
I’m just 5 handcuffs short of the Zenith City Times, I should get it tomorrow. Has anyone gotten all the Collector’s buildings? I’m not sure if when I’m done I should spend the leftover goods on more Zenith lofts/apartments or save them for something that hasn’t been announced yet.

Newbie question: What are the advantages to having a 5-star town? Mine is 3 stars, and I don’t have the income yet to make a point of raising it up to 5 stars unless it’ll get me something significant.
