The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yep it’s the mini-games. I just got Bon Bon to star level 2.

Thanks for the help.

Truer words have never been spoken.

For some reason I decided to work on Krustyland tonight. I’ve got a lot of bare area and few tickets to buy stuff to fill it with. So I’m storing stuff in Springfield and then visiting Krustyland to see what will transfer. Not much, it turns out, so far. I’d think at least trees, shrubs and flowers would, but no. I do have a bunch of hay wagons and windmills from some event that did, at least.

Bolding mine. I wouldn’t want that poster to come back and sue me for changing his quotes.

But yeah, if the only way to level the ponies is these 3 or 4 mini-games then yeah this is repetitive crappyness. I could see younger kids being cool with this but the ball toss, apple catch, connect the stars is ok at first but then you realize you’ll have to do these same games over and over and over and over for every single pony and they claim there are like what, a whole bunch of them. I’m sorry but I got better things to do during the commercials of whatever TV show I’m watching. So I’m done with this for now.

Back to TSTO, TFGQFS and Oregon Trail.

At least TFGQFS has an event for a whole month. Maybe I might actually get some prizes. Unlike the Wrestlemania event which lasted 2 weeks and a lot of the stuff you needed to get prizes or new characters was “extra rare” and there was no way in hell you were going to get them unless you spent clams for real money. Blatant fucking money grab/scam.

At least with the Simpsons, if you have a life and family, you had a chance at some of the prizes and new characters. You may not get them all but you could get some without spending real money.

My boyfriend downloaded Fallout Shelter on the tablet for me. He already regrets it. It is quite fun. I am working hard to keep them fed and watered and happy. It’s a nice change from the Simpsons. Similar world building, but a different objective.

I became a billionaire in TSTO a few weeks ago, but the completionist in me wants all the buildings at their highest level. And a giant solid gold fence for the perimeter.

Trying Oregon Trail today. I like it, but I run out of energy way too quickly, which limits how much I can play.

So I’ve been grinding out with the monorail and Where’s Maggie game and have 188 donuts now. I’m thinking of getting the Lotto N Liquor with Mr. Largo because he helps out at the dump and the building adds to consumerism (which I am OK with right now, but a town can only have so many Kwik-E-Marts, amIright?).

Anyone have him? What are your thoughts?

188 from the dumps! Nice grinding!

The extra ways to get donuts are great. It actually is incentive for me to spend money because I can get mostly close enough to a goal and then spend a few bucks on scratch tickets and make the goal. So it works in EA’s favor I think.

I want to get Disco Stu, because he helps with yoga mats in Springfield Heights. Also, what’s The Simposons without Disco Stu?

We will never know, because Disco Stu doesn’t advertise.

Nuking your town.

For those of you who have nuked your town and started over, how long did it take you to rebuild your town?

I’ve been playing for about 3 years and have a ton of buildings and stuff. As new events came out and new buildings and things became available I just bought new land and put the new stuff there. So there is no rhyme or reason for the layout of my town and I’ve been thinking about nuking it and rebuilding to make it coherent but I’m afraid it might take a butt-load of time and I might just annoy the crap out of myself for having done so.

I nuked my town in the fall. It look a bit to put it back and I still have things in storage. I am not fundamentally happier with the layout. I see now there is a multi selection option. I think that might be the way to go for any future rearrangements.

Ralphie as a Dalmatian is adorable.

The main reason I haven’t nuked my town already: the three castles would be broken down into their components and I can’t be bothered to remember how to rebuild them. That new “area select” feature could be A Good Thing - especially if it lets you nuke parts of the town (by selecting a section and then letting you put everything in the selection into storage), even if it does leave the roads.

New mini update dropped today. Amazingly right as everyone came off 24-hour tasks!

Oooh thank you. I had forgot about that. I think I’m gonna do it and I’ll try out the area selectio thing this weekend.

I just logged in and started clearing out tasks. Looks like BBQ and spring cleaning.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was sitting at 113 donuts last night and thought I’d take a shot at a golden scratcher. Hit the three-axe jackpot.

What did you get?

100 donuts. It was a good $1 investment. I used Amazon coins (I play on my Kindle), which is 100 coins, and I think they kicked back 20 coins.

What is it? I got nothing going on now that Spring Cleaning is done.

Damn Daniel!

It was the spring cleaning.

This week (probably Tuesday) another update of some kind is coming. Posted on the official facebook page.
