I’m still able to gamble. To get chips for bonus donuts.
I wish. I get crafting stuff, but the bonus donut option is gone.
Arson/volunteer fire department story line now.
Sweet. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too long before the next event. It’s what I do during commercials.
I just firebombed a few churches. I feel unusually calm about that.
Looking for the fires that start in your town, I found several hiding behind big buildings that I normally couldn’t see. So if you hit the button to move stuff and then hit the buttons to make things transparent you might find more fires to put out like I did. I found an extra 7 that I normally wouldn’t be able to see otherwise.
Don’t commit your hate crimes here. Hate crime!
I’m about 200 medals from the fire station, so my reign of terror is about over.
I don’t know if I’m ahead or behind, but I though I’d pass this along. I’ll spoiler-box it in case people would rather learn it on their own, although I can’t imagine that you would. Once you get the fire station:
It’s a 6-second build. In order to proceed on the quest you have to have both Homer and Ralph available.
A couple weeks ago Disney dropped Kingdoms, a similar world-building game.
I got it this week and it’s kind of fun. It’s Gameloft, not EA. I didn’t like Gameloft’s My Little Pony game (too easy to spend the equivalent of donuts and no “confirm donut spend” option). It was a huge pain to grind too and really repetitive. Plus it doesn’t have the richness and longevity of The Simpsons or Disney.
It’s more like TFGQFS than TSTO, but I thought I’d mention it in case anyone else was interested and hadn’t heard about it… like I hadn’t.
Thanks for mentioning Disney Kingdoms. I’ll check it out tonight. I’m done with TSTO Fire department event so there’s nothing going on there and TFGQFS is really starting to annoy me.
They start an event and give you like two weeks to finish it when in reality there is no way in hell you can finish it, or for me even get half-way through, unless you spend a lot of real world money on clams to fast track it. Seriously their current event for Wrestle Mania ends tomorrow and I’m only about half-way to getting their second tier prize let alone to getting their 7th or 8th tier prize the Giant Fighting Chicken.
I found that the Family Guy game really raised the amount of effort needed just to hit the first-tier prizes recently – perhaps with Christmas or the one before? It used to be a bit more reasonable about letting the freemium player get started. I guess this may be a sign that the game has a hard core of serious premium fans whom it’s catering to.
I stuck with it for a long time; I liked the fact that they were willing to spend some money on voice talent. Between the added difficulty and the continued crashing problems that I was having, though, I have now dropped it.
The horror movies, Princess Bride, and Wrestle Mania didn’t interest me, either. Will somebody let me know, please, if they do Pretty Little Liars?
If I found another game like it I’ll probably drop Family Guy. It takes several minutes to load and half the time it crashes to my home screen and then I try to get back in and just as it’s about loaded it kicks back to the home screen. The only way to get back in is too restart my device.
I’m gonna check out the Disney one tonight and if I like it I’ll stop playing FG.
So I just realized I am passing up 100 medals every 3 hours in order to send firefighters Homer and Apu on weird side quests instead of putting out the police station fire. I bought them and am basically not even using them.
Ugggggh.
Well Disney is dumb. Their game isn’t compatible with my kindle which is what I play on since I don’t have a smart phone.
So I did the google and found this article about other town building games.

I downloaded My Little Pony and Oregon Trail. I just went through the tutorials for each. They look good. The funny thing with Oregon Trail is your daughter starts off with dysentery and you have to cure her. I might download the Finding Nemo one for something a bit different (underwater).
I already had the Smurfs one and played it for quite awhile but I stopped once I found out about The Simpsons.
I know this isn’t the “Talk about any world building game thread.” but I don’t want to start a whole new thread just to ask a question.
Since you’ve played MLP I was wondering how do you get Ponies to get more stars. I got a quest to get Bon Bon to star level 2. She is currently at star level 1. Do I make her do jobs like make bread or cherry pies? Or what?
I did a google search and couldn’t find a clear answer.
This thread isn’t extremely active. I don’t see a problem discussing similar games.
Thank you for understanding. You are obviously a wonderful human being who deserves to be told how awesome you are. You are awesome.
Ugh, it’s been so long since I played MLP but I think it involved doing minigames. Like isn’t there a catch game and a trace the stars game? You had (have?) to do them dozens of times for EACH PONY to level them up.
Ok, thank you. That stupid toss the ball back and fourth game keeps popping up all over and I’m already getting tired of. The mine cart game I’m still enjoying as it’s at least fast paced and a bit exciting and you get to earn new ponies. I already got the first one.
I can see the repetitiveness of it, like you mentioned, getting me so annoyed that I drop the game.
The Oregon Trail game is still fun though.
