The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Well, we can no longer learn about Christmas, but after grinding out well over 1/2 million, I’ve learned enough, I believe.

Gnome is still there, but can’t select him. About to put Christmas stuff away…

I love the slide factory. It’s the only premium building I’ve bought that didn’t come with a character. I think it came with a rebate or something sometime last year. Someone has a task there I think, but I don’t remember who.

I’m ticked at myself for not staying awake until 10 last night. If I had I could have found the gnome in my town and a friend’s, and it would cost me two or four donuts to grab a prize. But no, I had to fall asleep at 9:30. Sigh.

It’s about the best thing besides the “Send all characters on a quest” building. The Office of Unemployment. I got like 170 something characters and spending the time to send each individual character out on a quest would take like 20-30 minutes. For a time I actually stopped sending out characters because it was just a pain.

Leveling up the IRS building costs a lot but it is worth it. You’ll earn the money back so much faster.

It’s a Festivus Miracle!
New mini-event. Homer gets all religious. And yay! What’s his face? Krustys dad. L’chaim!

I do like the mini event. Homer dancing in his underwear? Crashed beer truck? Yes please and thank you! I liked the pagan winter festival OK and I think the Baal pit and Phone Hedge are funny additions to my Springfield, but grinding out doodads for mushrooms and banners and tents and whatnot to get to them becomes a clutery chore.

Does everyone have a new box thing added to their tasks menu? If I tap it, it just hides the Martin task. I have Ice Princess Martin already, I don’t want the Ice Princess Martin castle.

Did anyone send Maggie (or maybe just star snowsuit Maggie) on the “gut a sheep” task? They actually show her in the sheep-gutting tent (from the Pagan event, if you have it) cutting up a sheep and cheering. Lol!

Yeah, I was a little surprised by that one.
But only a little. It is The Simpsons, after all.

The past few days, when I visit Other Springfield, it takes me to Krustyland first. I haven’t started K-Land in my Springfield yet; am I losing out on dollars by collecting tickets? Should I take the extra time to take the shuttle back to Springfield each time to collect dollars?

Yes, if you’re collecting tickets, that’s keeping you from collecting money. You are going to Krustyland because you are actually clicking on the Krustyland part of the picture. If you click on the springfield part or the banner at the top, you will be taken to Springfield.

The box in the task menu has been there for a couple of updates now. It just consolidates any task that is getting too old by putting it in the box. A little silly if you only have one or two old tasks.

They seemed to take some pains to draw the ‘sacrificial’ sheep as a stuffed animal. Personally, I think its a pretty funny task. ymmv

Well well well it looks like things are going pretty swimmingly for me. I should get that great and wonderful prize “Building” this evening. I’m so excited.

Well, you guys, it was a Monday-Quarter-Backing-Festivus-Mestivus and all my dreams came true. I finally got as my Heavenly reward the “Building”. The Hamburger Heaven is now sitting in my town being a butt-face.

Jeremy Clarkson would be proud.

Huh, I logged in today and it said that I had gotten Building #2 but last night I was several days away. I’m done with the event now. It reloaded itself and then the event thingy was gone.

“Worst. Game. Ever.” - Comic Book Guy.

Quick update today with a short quest for Burns.

My Simpson House is on fire. I have no idea why.

I got the Hamburger Heaven as well today.

6 seconds? I’d say that counts as short.

Do you have the fire station? There was a quest line to build it and put out fires.

Tune in this Sunday to find out why!

No fire station yet.
Ned had a 4hr job of putting out fires (I think it was at the tail end of the “Homer the Heretic” quest line, but not certain). When that job ended, the fire went out.

I ended up getting the Cut Glass Cathedral.

I’m now working my way through the multi-part Maggie storyline, which will ultimately result in a Maggie-centric mini-game.

I have about $350k, wondering if it is worth saving for IRS level 3 ($500k). Any thoughts?

Also, how do you get the ritzy Springfield values so high? Build multiple mansions and stuff? I’ve been at $135m for seemingly forever and I don’t see any way to boost values much beyond this.

I recommend upgrading IRS a few levels until the range is decent, then holding off until you have a surfeit of cash. Upgraded start to be diminishing returns.

Yes, build multiple mansions etc. You can store them and keep the value if they’re in the way, though IIRC they have a hidden XP bonus if placed.

Where does the IRS top out? I think my next upgrade is $7 million.

The 9th and final level is 7 million. As I said it’s intended to be a money sink. You get a new facade for the final level. I put mine near the Stonecutter’s lodge, because i figure I should keep my conspiracy theories close.
