Should we be leaving the gremlins alive to help each other out? Or is killing them the better way to go?
The dialogue says to kill them without mercy and if I understand it correctly, they kill your ghosts, so…do you want the points (and prizes) for the ghosts in your town or do you want your friends to get them?
Of course, if it’s anything like whacking day, by the end we’ll all have so many of both we a)won’t know what to do with all the gremlins and b)will be no where near the next prize level by the end so it won’t matter.
I just got the Indian Burial Grounds this morning and it comes with a task for Lisa to protest it being turned into something else. I have her trick or treating right now but I brought my tablet to work and I’m going to disappear for about a half hour a couple times today to work the tasks and place gremlins.
And I got Booberella and she had an immediate 1 hour task on the Cletus farm. I’m not sure what prompts her next tasks. My son (6 years old) laughed at her name and asked why she’s named that and I showed her pictures of Elvira and told him that TVs are called “boob tubes.” He’s a breast man too, so I don’t know if that explanation’s going to last. 
Also be on the lookout for your characters getting haunted. Ghosts will hoist up characters and float around with them. TSTOTips said they only grab people not doing anything, but they’ve been grabbing my trick or treaters.
Also also, there’s a zombie dog that does not cost donuts. If you poke him he goes splat!
I got the zombie dog, he’s pretty cheap and all kinds of awesome.
I don’t mean to speak for the group, but I think we agreed to squish them and split the goos. Squish away. It will all work out if we all drop each other goblins.
Also, most people aren’t playing the game all day long, so if you put a goblin on my Springfield, in all likelihood it’s going to be there for a few hours before I notice it.
What I try to do is put them on Springfields that appear to have a lot of ghosts and/or haunted buildings which, to me, implies the user isn’t online and the gremlin isn’t going to get killed 10 seconds later.

I was just checking to see if that was really the best strategy. If it is, I’m cool with it. I just wasn’t totally sure how they worked and if there was any negative to letting the critters run for a while and maybe only clearing them out once a day in the evening, that sort of thing. If it does lower your ghosts having them run around, then I am all for killing them instantly.
I am having the same problem. But send them my id (NAF1138) and have them add me.
I have seen no indication anywhere that gremlins reduce the number of ghosts anybody has. I would need some verification before I do anything differently.
And I’ve also been getting the friend request failing error, but in the past the request has gone through anyway after a few hours. I’ll check with my friends and if he still has nothing after a while, I’ll pass on the user names. Thanks!

I’m not entirely clear on what’s happening when I click on a friend’s Ghost symbol on a house that is already haunting. Am I just replacing the previous haunting with my own? Seems kinda pointless, so I always try to click on un-haunted houses.
It seems I have a lot of dead wood as friends. I probably can’t add any of you because I’m full but it seems like a lot of them aren’t playing anymore. I wish it wasn’t such a pain in the ass to drop people. Its tedious.
I was wondering if you could dump gremlins into the Other Springfield for cheap Goo, but it looks like that’s not possible.
You are also prevented from dumping if that town already has a plethora of gremlins
