I’ve never had more than two.
There’s some talk of the tiles losing their ability to hold more than 2 or 3 handshakes if you collect them. I know I’ve missed some extra handshakes when I know someone has clicked my tile. Bottom line–you should make sure to collect as many handshakes as you feel comfortable with in case your tile can no longer hold numerous handshakes. This glitch is definitely glitchy and not an exact science.
I keep one handshake floating at all times and as soon as I see a second handshake, I collect it immediately so the next person can leave a handshake.
I sent you a request. ![]()
I’ve got 4 or 5 piled up. I’ll grab them up next time I sign on.
It did indeed work for me and I’ll gladly click others tiles and hope others continue to click mine.
I’ve got three so far. Liking this glitch!
My tile is up as well
A few questions:
(I’ve been tapping your Squidport tiles but haven’t reached the ocean yet)
I think my tile has definitely lost its ability to hold more than two handshakes. I haven’t seen more than two for a week now. I estimate that my tile is getting 10 or 11 taps a day, but only actually getting about half of these in tiles.
I should also point out that there is a limit of 155 tiles for Squidport, but if you use this glitch, you can accrue unlimited tiles (I have a Tapped Out friend with ~350 tiles, enough to cover ever square of ocean). However, if you accidentally tap your last handshake and you have more than 155 tiles, the game won’t let you build another one and you can’t keep taking advantage of this glitch.
What’s the advantage of having more than 155 tiles then anyway?
Heck, what’s the advantage of having more tiles than enough to put all the boardwalk-related stuff on it and making it aesthetically pleasing?
I’d like to have more tiles so if they ever un-abandon Squidport I’ll be ready to go instead of having to wait a few days for more tiles just to have a place to put the next building. That was the reason I never stopped building tiles, the glitch is just making it happen faster. Besides, I have more options for what I can do that way. For example, right now If I wanted to rearrange my boardwalk but needed ten more tiles, that would take 2-3 weeks. Why not just have them ready to go. I can financially afford them, I’m essentially just banking the time. If they didn’t take a day and a half to build, people wouldn’t have been nearly as worried about it.
Same with Krustyland. I’m over there everyday collecting all my tickets (and not converting it to cash since I don’t need the extra money) so if they ever do something with that place I’m ready to start building again.
Well, as I stated, there is 392 possible places to put Squidport tiles. In comparison to that, 155 (don’t quote me on that, it might be 151) is fairly small. You’re right, most people don’t need 150+, but it might be nice to have the option of 200 or so. The guy who racked up 392 was just doing it because he could.
Thanks for the tip about the tiles. I’ve kept mine up for the past few days, but just accidentally tapped one on one of my towns, so it’s another 2 days until a new one will be up. Grrr. I think I was able to get 7 tiles before that happened, so that was nice.
I actually have 4 towns, two that I’ve been actively playing and two others that I just used for snake farms during Whacking Day. I’m leveled all the way up on the two active towns, so I’m going to move focus to the towns I’ve been neglecting. I’m in need of friends for those, so I’ve been sending requests out today. If you’ve gotten a request from** karmutt, thistleor, sideshowkar, or kaargh**, that’s me. I’m trying to get all the same friends across all four accounts. I’ve been sending requests from like two accounts, then sending requests for the other two when people accept the first ones. I hope I won’t annoy anyone doing that.
I’ve had two glitches in the past two days; one good and one bad.
The bad: twice I bought $0.99 lottery tickets (within a few minutes of each other). Both times I got triple-clubs, so 12 donuts. I was pretty sure my starting donut count was 90, but after the first ticket my total was 100. Hmmm; maybe I misremembered. Second ticket, knowing for sure my starting donut count is 100, I again win 12 donuts, and my ending donut-pot is: 107.
The good: last night my Cletus was ghost-glitched. He was being carried along by a ghost (you know how they do), so I tapped him and a goo vial appeared. But then he immediately got re-floated by another ghost. I tapped him, got a goo/ghoul, and he immediately re-floated.
Pretty cool, except it lost its charm after about 400 goo, and my dreams of amassing thousands of extra goo met reality. Still, I could’ve apparently continued forever.
I just started playing and need some more friends. Would you guys add me?

Yeah, a couple people have gotten the constant possession glitch. I saw one person who posted a pic of their iPhone jury-rigged with a capacitive stylus in place to constantly collect GOO. At 1-3 donuts per 2000 GOO, it’s a pretty good deal!
I just played a bit over lunch, and Cletus is still glitched. I estimate that I can get 20 goo per minute taking advantage of it, but 10 minutes is all I can stand of mindless, rhythmic tapping in the same spot, and that’ll only net 200 goo; not much in the grand scheme of things.
Since there’s only two days left, I’ve given up on collecting GOO. I’m collecting it from my own town because I don’t want ghosts/haunted buildings and gremlins running around, but I’m not going to all the other towns for a few donuts. I am, however, running to all the other towns and hitting the boardwalk piece if it’s there.
