The Start of The MMP

I’m loving the lower humidity for a few days. It won’t last, but while it does, even mid-80s don’t feel bad.

Busy day ahead, but I prefer it that way. We’ll be going to a coworker’s house-warming on Sat, but the rest of the weekend is unstructured.

Happy Thursday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 89 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Why, almost Fall-like weather! Not a lot on the agenda today which is fine by me. At some point this afternoon I will go over to the church house to drag the biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash cans back to where they stay durin’ the week. That is, provided the trash has been picked up. Trash service is kinda willy-nilly, so it could be anytime from about right now until who knows when this afternoon. On occasion it has been as late as tomorrow mornin’. Sup shall be tacos (OLÈ!) with fixin’s.

Red and MetalMouse in Jawja one must acquire ones tag renewal before ones actual bday. Since my bday is this comin’ Moanday, tomorrow would be the very last day I could have done so without payin’ a penalty, bein’ as the office is closed on weekends. OYKW’s bday is January 2nd, so he has to get his by December 31st at the latest. Jawja be weird.

gotti ::tacklehug:: sad the finger is still givin’ you the finger. Hope you get over the Summer cold soonest.

Spidey in this case young’uns means junior hoomans between the ages of five and eleven.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, onward into the day. Rah.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

You can’t trust those Nazis! Winston was right.

Morning all. Promised to help unload/move uniforms for the soccer league today, so I will get a little exercise. Delivery is between 11-1, so need to take some reading material with me.

Nava, only 68F (20C) her now, going to 86F (30C). Stay cool.

swampy, here in Ali-bama (And, I suspect, in Red’s neighborhood, it’s done by the month; I’m May, so I need to have my new tag by 31 May of each year. Birthdays are probably better for distributing folks, since our offices tend to be packed the last 2-3 days of the month.

Nut, I guess the bombers probably liked seeing England.

Nettie, working with your customers brings out the poetry in your comments…

doggio, I’d give you a {{}} for yesterday, but I’m afraid you’d might pull a muscle or something…

gotti, good to see you around these parts. Hope the finger gets to doing better.

Blurf Irking as usual. I slept well so there is that. I don’t know what the day holds. I have some stuff to do but will mostly be surfing the net.

Merryland’s motor vehicle folks have set up on-line renewal for tags. I get an email about a month before each of ours expires, I enter my VISA account info, and within a week, the tag sticker shows up in the mail with a new registration card. Easy-peasy!

They also taste good like a cigarette should.

Wait -------- I think you mean a different Winston.
Other than that just a little laundry left from yesterday.

That sounds somewhat … suggestive

Sorry about your friend’s mom.

Happy Thorsday!

Another pretty day.
Very noisy outside, the gas or water, or whomever people are out there doing something.

Had a good time at the park this morning.
At first it got a little tense, there were two unneutered males there. They were not getting along.
Later though, some dogs that Ripple likes to play with came in. They aren’t the best playmates, a huge lab and a cane corso, but they get along okay.

I saw four men run past the dog park, it was obvious they were running together, however, the first guy went running past, very smooth and easy. The guy behind him was keeping up, but you could see he was having a little trouble, arms were flailing a bit, posture not so good. Third guy was struggling a bit. I thought he was going to fall coming down the incline, arms and legs were a bit wonky. Fourth guy, lagging behind and finally switched over to walking.

I thought it was kind of interesting to watch.

Supposed to get up into the 80s today, so we may have to close the windows and turn on the AC. I hope not, I’d like a few more days of fresh air.

Lunch is over. Back to work!

It’s a good, busy day!

I must off to the grocery store as the cupboards are bare at irk. I just don’t know what it is I want though. Maybe just some sandwich makings.

Blurfage

I guess I killded the MMP. Back from the store where I did buy sandwich makings and cherries. Today is the second and last day of the Lobster mini season and we have sold a whopping $371 today. This is just sad. I only have one clerk in the front office and I am signed in in case we get a rush but I don’t expect it. Tomorrow will probably be insane.

I’ll make the Jello for the funeral luncheon. Let me check the Ecclesiastical Calendar to see which color we need.
Hey – I’m Lutheran – it’s required

Went over to the park at about 10:55am and well I did, about 11:05 a big semi came in the area and stopped, obviously confused on where to go next. I walked over and confirmed it was athletic equipment and got him over to where he could unload. About that time two other guys showed up and between us we got four very full pallets of boxes unloaded. Just as we started moving them inside, about 7 teenagers/soccer players (with Mom of 4 of them in tow) showed up and helped move the boxes inside. Then load my car and two others with other boxes that went over to another building (soccer balls and ball bags). So I got about an hour’s worth of exercise.

Been adding photos of my vacation to my facebook page, including one I took especially for flytrap (If you’re not on my facebook, it’s Redirecting...)

Sari, guess some males need to be un-neutered for breeding purposes, but they should have extra training so incidents don’t happen. Glad there wasn’t a female in heat there…

Butters, guess it’s my turn to have kill-o-zap the MMP. I guess some people actaully do work for a living…

My new little freezer is plugged in and getting cold. I’ll be glad to transfer a few things from the main freezer - it’s really crammed up.

**FCD **didn’t want supper, so I just foraged for some leftovers for me. Not sure what I’ll do tomorrow, but I’ll figure it out. I hope.

Welcome back gotti!

nettie, it sounds like we have the same kitchen philosophy during the summer months. :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope your day is better than yesterday doggio

Moooooom, we have the online option for tags here too, but you still need to pass emissions testing to get a code. Personally, it usually takes ~10 minutes each if you go mid month.

We had the all hands meeting this morning. We’re finally getting rid of the @$!#in tee shirts. We will get smocks that go over our clothes instead. I can live with that. They have also banned all but jeans, slacks or khakis for trousers. I think they were getting tired of judgment calla for jogging pants, basketball shorts, yoga pants and leggings. The old bat was whining all day about it (she’s fond of jogging pants ).Double win. :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn I hate my neighbors.

Not the ones next door, they get on my nerves at times, but the assholes across the street.
They are so friggin LOUD!
Even when they are speaking in a normal voice I can hear everything they say
That is bad enough but they are constantly SCREAMING! at their kids,
one of which prefaces everything he says with a huge WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I have heard him when I have the windows closed and the TV playing. That kid has a set of lungs on him you wouldn’t believe.
And he is constantly NO NO NO! WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I don’t know why they don’t sit in the back yard, the front yard is small and every time one of the kids gets near the curb, they SCREAM at him to get away from the curb.
They also scream at them for playing in the dirt, of which there is much, because the gas/water/whoever people have the road and yards dug up.

It’s no wonder the kids are so LOUD!, their parents are always YELLING!

Sorry, didn’t mean to shout at y’all

worked, came home ,took a long nap(I was not feeling the best)

 It is me you are talking to.
AND I UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE YELLING, I HAVE CUSTOMERS WITH NO INSIDE VOICE AT WORK
:stuck_out_tongue:

Today was red(cherry?), according to the Roman Catholic Liturgical calender, and tomorrow is white(I suggest plain gelatin, mixed with blanco tequila).
.

Hi, everyone. I’m still alive.

You know, I read The MMP every single day, without fail. I just don’t post much, because I’m just a boring, old houseleech, who doesn’t have much excitement going on in her life. My life is boring, since my kidney failure incident last year at this time. I think that’s ok, though. I’d much rather have boring, than deal with that circus, again.

I’ve been spending my recent days picking blackberries. We’ve got a section of the backyard, that we planted thornless blackberries in, about three years ago, I think. They really didn’t do much, until this year. I’ve got about 1 1/2 gallons in the freezer, and hope to get a grand total of two gallons, before they’re done.

We had to take one of our dogs to the vet, on Tuesday. Well, actually, we took both of them (Shayna & Poe, brother and sister. They just turned 4 on July 4th) on Monday, to get their yearly shots, and their heartworm test. They are Husky-mix mutts, and we love them dearly.
The next day, we noticed that Shayna’s eyes were swollen shut. She was all squinty by the time we got her to the vet. The vet did a dye test in both of her eyes, and found nothing at all. I thought she might have gotten into some Stinging Nettle, which is back by the blackberry bushes, but, I was mistaken. The vet said it was caused by some sort of trauma, because she saw actual blood in her eyes. Well, we have a fenced-in yard for them to run in, and I’m positive that she hasn’t had ANY sort of trauma, other than not getting enough treats. The only thing that I can think of, ‘trauma-wise’, was that it was from her trying to pull so damned hard, when we took them to the vet on Monday. She had her harness on, but, I think she was pulling so hard, the front of her harness came up under her neck, and choked her a bit. She was coughing a little, and I mentioned it to my daughter at the time. Anyway, after two vet visits, a few hundred dollars, an injection, and some eye medicine, she’s doing much, much better. No more swelling, and her eyes are her usual ice blue, again. One more vet appointment tomorrow, at 11:30, just to make sure all is well with her, and, hopefully, that’ll be the end of it.

Have a pleasant evening.

Sounds like maybe an allergic reaction to the shots? Glad she is fine.

We actually went out to the good place for dinner and drinks. Twice in a month. Wow.

It rained a bunch here on my island but none at irk. TGIF tomorrow. Tis been a long week.

Time to sleep with Ben.
