I sent my Santee’s package via Two-Day Priority Mail on Monday, 12/20, and he’s not posted about receiving it or anything yet (I sent another, much larger package to Pennsylvania the same day, and they got theirs on Thursday). I’ve never had a problem with the USPS before, so I hope everything’s OK and he’s just having too much fun to get back to the computer.

I got mine yesterday, though it could have arrived earlier. i have been in panama city. as for my Fantastic, superb,wonderful,outstanding,amazing,incredible, just plain great gift, i got a wonderful carving of a turtle and a cricket made from resin and recycled water buffalo horn. Also included was a hand drawn christmas drawing, featuring carolers, a christmas tree, and even a dog, all drawn wonderfully. so, i would just like to say Thank You, FilmGeek, as sincerely as i can. I love the gift, and i’m sure the cricket will give me luck as it keeps me company.

I just got home, and the first thing I did (OK, more like the fourth, but you know what I mean 
) was rip open my SDMB Secret Santa package. Wow!
I’m not sure if the name on the return address was a SDMB name or not, so I won’t mention it, but I got a scented candle (Sugar Cookie! What a great idea!) and a calendar with pictures of Chihuahuas. (Chihuahuae? Whatever.) Great gifts!

I finally checked my e-mail and was reminded of it. I sent it USPS (couldn’t afford overnight at the time) and it was returned “undeliverable”. I deleted the e-mail from Shirley so can’t check the address, but I emailed her to resend it. I’ll e-mail you monica to confirm it this time since the secret is out anyway. Maybe I’ll have to get your approval anyway based on your request with your mom’s sensitivity. But it should still be workable. Up to you. (Though it could easily be re-gifted and give you a chance to buy something you really want.) 
I really feel like a shit about this for letting it go so long without taking care of it. Now nobody will want me as a SS. Argh! :mad:

I can’t apologize enough. I’m so sorry for the delay.
It’s OK. Don’t worry about it. I’m not upset about the timing- I was just a bit afraid that I wasn’t going to get anything from my Secret Santa, and now that I know that I am, all is well.
So - has anyone else not received a gift, or an e-mail or post of some sort explaining the delay?
I’m trying not to take it personally.
On a brighter note, my SS received her gift and even posted that she liked it, so that’s something.
Alice in Wonderland, I am your Secret Santa, and your package was mailed (albeit late!) on December 22, nearly 2 weeks ago. I don’t know why it is taking so long to be delivered. I hope too that it arrives safely and in one piece!
I twisted an ankle and fell on December 9, fracturing a bone in my left foot and badly bruising my right leg–I’ve got a cast on my left leg up to just below my knee, and developed cellulitis in my right leg. So my daughter saw to everything for me. I do apologize profusely, but up until about a week or so ago, I was just barely getting around my apt. Fortunately, the cellultis cleared up with antibiotics and the fracture appears to be healing.
I’d give the package a few more days to get there; I don’t know what the holiday delivery schedule is like in Canada–maybe it will even be delivered today. But please let me know if you don’t get it in a few days. We’ll send out a replacement.

Well, I suppose on one hand I’m glad it was an injury that prevented me from getting Santa’d on time, as opposed to an active dislike by another poster. However, on the other hand, :eek: !! I hope you’re feeling better! Um, drink lots of juice! I’ve heard thats great for ankle fractures…

Sorry, I forgot to email you. I did send mine, way back in mid-December. It had a long way to go, but I’d think it would have arrived by now. However, my giftee hasn’t posted (in this thread, anyway) since a couple of days before Christmas.
I sent mine but my recipient was supposed to be away until today - hope it is waiting there for him!

Stand Up karmic, your package should be there any day. It is in the mail. Your SS has already advised in the thread it is on the way and that’s good enough for me.
Qwisp your package will be put in the mail tomorrow ( 1/7) by your SS. He/She/It has been very busy and profusely groveled for forgiveness via he/she/its’s sister. It was most amusing.

Bratti Atti I am almost postive your SS package is enroute. The doper who has you I think told me he/she/it has sent it off but I didn’t save the email. I suck. You probably have it buy now. If not, please let me know.
Melondeca I have not heard back from your SS at all and they have not been on the boards since December 15. I don’t know if they are busy or have been kidnapped or something.

Keapon Laffin has advised me he is not home right now and is away from his desk, so it is possible that his secret santa goodies may have arrived already. He will advise here when he returns from his spy mission…oooh, I’ve said too much…
