I don’t understand how I can have an uneventful, somewhat pleasant, and fairly productive morning, and still feel utterly crappy.
Oh wait - it’s cold and rainy. Hmph.

I planned to mow the ditch tomorrow, but it’s rained today, and more is forecast overnight and into tomorrow, so I guess I’ll deal with it next week.
This company provides free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, plus sodas and snacks for nominal cost. The proceeds from the snack and drink sales are being used next week to buy us all lunch! So in 3 weeks here, I’ll have had 2 free lunches! Love this place!
Love this place! Plus the sodas are only 25¢ and snacks (chips, cookies, pop tarts, ice cream - stuff like that) are only 75¢. And they leave paper plates and plastic flatware in the kitchen for whoever to use. How cool is that??

Now, if only 3:30 would get here!!! Four more hours…
Personal company excepted, of course!
Yeah ---- now I can shave.
I won’t of course, but I could.
Had to take the OW from the doctor to another doctor. They snagged some skin for testing but it looks like some sort of eczema. Now to work on the back and some of the other issues.
Their individual names are pretty impressive too. The W’s are pronounced B.
I just got approval to take a day off for Bro’s birthday
Off to work. And this Firday is my Firday.
Nava, I’ve slipped on the way to the throne and crowned myself too!
Emily, I’ll look into that site. We may have to start an international uke band.
Moooom, my work are can get pretty chilly, even in the summer. I keep a large man’s dress shirt to slip over my blouse when I’m dressed more for the weather outside than in.
It looks like I’m outta here at noon. TGIF!
Much drama was had last night and this morning. Daughter is well and truly a teenager, and her school is ridonkulous. Hopefully the day goes well.
Trying to get organized to leave around 4 for Yosemite. Mountains! Trees! Snow! Waterfalls! My son is bummed because there is gasp no internet! Oh noes.
I am thinking about whether a nap would help me get ready…
It was a dark and stormy day. A good day to irk from da cave. Outside is ICK!
BBBobbio we’re snobs. We prefer our wine with twist off tops.
OK, back to irk alas.
Irked this am,took a nap.
Now I’m going to put the ham in the oven, and get some lunch.
I feel invisible today, I’ve sent several texts and made a few calls and nobody has answered me.
Which reminds me, I need to make another call.
It can wait.
What is with #189 being a blank post? :dubious:
So instead of mowing the ditch, you’re ditching the mow.
How long to quit-o’clock? USPS says I’ve got my new toy/money making implement waiting for me at the front door.
(Flytrap, whatever you do, don’t hop the fence at my house - {1600 Pennsylvania Ave} & steal it!)
I shall warn Swampy and Vunderboob.
Bob.
One cool thing about being invisible is I can dance naked in the MMP room and nobody can see me
Finally made a call that was answered and we got disconnected.
A lot of earth shatterin’ KA*BOOMS this afternoon. Right now it’s just rain but I’m sure another tstorm or so shall occur. Dindin tonight shall be chikin quesadillas. OLÈ!
So calling all cooks
I bought a spiral ham, never made one before.
The were on sale for $1.28 a pound.
I didn’t see any directions on the package but the one I read online said to cook the ham in the oven on 275 for 15 minutes per pound.
I put the ham in at 2, so should be done at 4:30
It smells really yummy now.
I went out to check directions online and what I read said never cook anything at less than 325, and the ham should be cooked at 325 for 10-12 minutes per pound. So I turned the over up to 325 at 3:30 - then I saw more directions that said 275.
I know the ham is already cooked, so I shouldn’t get food poisoning, but is it safe at 275?
I guess I will leave it until 4:30 as planned.
Please do not dance with the tornadoes!
Sari I use a lower temp (225) to slow cook prime rib when I make it. Cooks Illustrated said I could! Plus, it works really well. The important thing is that the internal temp reaches a safe level. Use the lower temp so you don’t dry things out. It’s safe I promise.
thank you Sunny
I’m getting ready to take it out of the oven now.
I am so hungry. One slice fell off when I took it out of the package and I fried that up in the skillet and it was good. If it is dry I’ll use it in some other way. I’m going to have to freeze part of it anyway - 10 pounds of ham is a lot of ham for 2 people to eat.
Dindin has been ingested. YUM! iff’n I do say so myself. We are all settled in da cave for the evenin’. 'Tis icky and rainy out so inside and dry is a good thing.
sari fwiw, I was taught to bake ham at 325 and allow ten minutes per pound. It always comes out OK.
sunny that sounds just right for prime rib or brisket. Slow cooked is better.
flytrap no need to warn me about Pennsylvania Ave. I know not to go into seedy 'hoods.
We did Red Robin for supper. Now we’re home in chill mode. It’s looking like it’d like to rain.
Here’s hoping for a good night’s sleep.
