The SuEPs of the MMP

I accomplished much, yet oddly no packing. Just got back from taking dogs and son for a walk. I’s tahred.

Saw the big horses from afar. I will see them plenty this weekend. The Southernmost Air Spectacular is almost finally here. The Blue Angels arrived in town today and did a flyover of Duval Street (think Main Street) and since it is an only 2 X 4 mile island they flew over most areas. It is impressive and gets the adrenaline pumping while swelling ones chest with pride in merica.

I got a good bit of my EOM stuff done between about 100 phone calls re Air Show. Reserved seating has been sold out for well over a month but folks just gotta try the pity ploy. Actually had a 95 year old man- WW2 veteran get all snippy with me, said we don’t respect them and hung up on me. All because I don’t have a wheelchair for him to use. If’n you need a wheelchair mayhaps you should OWN one. Just a thought.

Tomorrow I shall try to get to irk a little earlier as it’s payroll day, finish up some EOM stuff then go to the airfield and scope out the set up for Sat and Sun. Once that is done I am coming home early to rest up unless I get pressed into service doing something there. All regular employees are authorized overtime but as an exempt peon I shall get comp time. Depending if I get enough done to keep the wolves at bay I plan to take Moanday off to recoup. Maybe tie one on.

Canes beat the Rangers! : points and laughs at **CatDude[/b :

Dude!

Glad you’re felling better, Midget.

Spidey, 1969, eh?

OK – it fogged. Now what? :stuck_out_tongue:

One of the Goth Kings of Spain. He went between Teudiselo and Agila I; his reign was cut extremely short when he slipped on the marble steps as he headed to the throne.

My plan didn’t work. I watered the seeded areas of the yard, but we didn’t get rain overnight. We still might get some this morning; however, I no longer trust the radar - it gives me false hopes! :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCD **is sleeping in. He’s usually off on Firdays, but he’s got a kick-off meeting at 9. He’s going in for the meeting, then coming home. Meanwhile, I had enough bread to make my lunch sammich, but none for breakfast. I’ll leave shortly and get a biscuit or something enroute.

TGIF! Happy Firday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a cloudy, muggy 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse. There is a lull in storms right now which accounts for the mugginess. Let it storm all day I say as I am irkin’ from home. I need to get EOM stuff done and begin quarterly stuff. Rah.

OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I suppose I should purtify somewhat just because one should.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Good Morning all you bright eyed and bushy tails Mumpers! Isn’t it a glorious mor…

I’m sorry. I couldn’t type that with a straight face.

Blurf. Also Frulb. Because it’s that kind of morning

But you’re not a Stainless Steel Rat.

Blurf.

Going into town this morning. Maybe I can get things done today.

Apparently It did rain a little overnight - the streets in the neighborhood were wet. Here’s hoping we get some more this morning.

My office is cold! It’s warm outside, so I didn’t bring a jacket. I wish I had. brrrrrrrrrrrrr

Happy Firday!

It’s a warm 69 and damp outside.

Rough night of sleep, I think I woke up every hour. No trouble falling back asleep, but I have a stiff neck and headache this morning.

Otherwise SSDD.

No wine in a box? :dubious:

Ahem.

I was wondering how does one catch a Stainless Steel Rat. Apparently all you need to do is say “rat” and it baits him right up.

Isn’t intartoobz pizza poisonous? Sounds hard to digest, too. What size screens?

Midget, I’d marry you except (1) I live 850 miles away (2) I’m old enough to be your father (possibly grandfather) and (3) after 62+ years, I guess I’m a bachelor for life. Pity.

Did manage to sleep until 5am, rained all day and most of the night, with a short period of tornado sirens in the evening, but nothing within 30 miles touched down. Cooling down today with occasional droplets, we’ll see if the soccer fields are open Saturday (I have two games lined up).

Beginning my last month of work. Four more weeks after this. Still seems almost surreal.

I’m not that easy. :cool::stuck_out_tongue:
Helps if your name is Harold Peters Inskipp and your the head of the Special Corps (see: The Stainless Steel Rat - Wikipedia)

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s 70 and drizzly out.

Adult juice box:smiley:

Nava, “Goth Kings Of Spain” should be a band name.

I’m glad that we got that settled.

Major thunderboomer just sounded - guess I brought this on by watering my yard last night.

Much work on my desk. Busy day ahead. MetalMouse - initially, retirement will feel like a long vacation. Then you’ll either find your rhythm or start looking for work. If you get bored, you can visit me and help out with my yardwork.

Yeah, I suspect by the fall I’ll be looking for something to do.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I’ll probably have to do my first mowing of the year Sunday. And that’s enough!!!
