Oh my achin’ back!! I really overdid it yesterday, and I’m suffering today. In fact, I was suffering overnight - I had to get up and pop some tylenol just so’s I could get back to sleep. I don’t know what I’m going to do today, but I fear the answer is “not much.”
**FCD **is going on a “brain freeze poker run” - apparently every stop along the way involves ice cream. I’m going to meet them at their final stop, which is Bert’s. In the interim, I’ll try to do some laundry and finish a little planting. But the way I’m feeling, I may have to stop after one sock is on the line. Poor poor me…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 72 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of a chilly 89 for the day again.
Today’s plans are food prep for tomorrow’s N.O.L., some defilthyfication of da cave though it ain’t too bad and some pool time. I could get busy on defilthyfication I suppose. Ima be a Luterun tomorrow mornin’ as I will be at the nine o’clock deheathenization as a Lector. I have decided that once a month I shall go to that service and since there’s a need for Lay Readers have been offerin’ to do so thus I was asked if’n I would tomorrow. A good day to do that as well as then I can be back at da cave gettin’ stuff ready. Go Me!
MOOOOOOM I say that unless y’all are out of dainties today would best be spent as a chill day. Can’t risk the old broad gettin’ all stove up now can we?
Ok, time for more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall get busy. Really. I will.
Thank you so much for your concern, swampy… But I went thru this back stuff a month ago, and I found that being moderately active actually helped. And I suspect reaching up to hang clothes would actually do my back some good - gentle stretching, you know. We shall see. In any event, we’re being threatened with rain in 6 of the next 7 days, so I’ll take advantage of the sunshine today.
Honestly, what I really need is more sleep. I tried a different pillow arrangement last night, and woke in the wee hours to discover it was a bad choice. It took a while to re-pillow and get settled again - over an hour before I dropped back off to sleep, so I’m in semi-zombie mode right now.
And I’ve got to repair an afghan I made for my daughter, as she’s packing this weekend - her Pod is being picked upon Tuesday, so I should get the afghan fixed and have her pick it up this weekend. Can’t believe she’ll be gone in a week.
S’posed to be bee wrangling again today, but it’s very windy and quite wet, so I suspect it won’t happen. Can’t decide if I should go down there just in case or not- it’s about 20 minutes away, and I could just stay home and make cake.
I also need to go to the allotment and replant all the stuff those mangy flying vandals uprooted yesterday, if there’s big enough gaps in the rain.
It’s a nice 65 degrees outside, warm and sunny.
It’s supposed to get up to 84.
I feel the blurf this am.
I have to get moving to feed the dogs and kitty, and bring in their trash cans. I started last night and thought it would probably be better to do it in the daytime when I can see better. The latch on their gate is wonky.
It’s another day of mixed weather, I woke up at some point in the night and the rain was bucketing down. Now it’s sunny but quite windy with intermittent showers. So…that’s summer started then.
I haven’t done much this morning, just faffed around a bit and caught up on some stuff on the tellybox. I’m going out for lunch and then errands this afternoon, home to do half an hour on the Wii, dinner and then it’s cocktail night so I must remember to get limes from the market otherwise my margaritas won’t come out quite right.
Sah-son is finally cutting the grass.
I have my window open and love the smell. Too bad it will make my eyes water and my nose run, but I still love the smell of freshly cut grass.
I am going to cut some lavender on my way out to put in the truck, then my truck will smell pretty too.
The anonymity of the internet is such a powerful thing. I posted on a fitness site a picture of me showing me from this year and again from the exact same date last year. I got a ton of compliments about how great I look and one woman telling me that I need to change my hairstyle. Then another woman agreed with her. WTH? I’ve lost 95 pounds and that’s what you have to say?
I admit, I’m not tough and I started crying. Ugh. Some people could stand to learn a little something about tact.
But, I’m certain the rest of the day is going to get better. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!
**Sticky **- your post reminded me, of all things, of an English paper I wrote in high school. I don’t recall what the assignment was, but it did require some research. The only comment the teacher wrote was: “Good, but bibliography in wrong form.” Yeah, that was helpful. No comment on my analysis or conclusions. Which only goes to show, some people *have *to find something to criticize. Screw 'em!
But have you ever considered dying your hair and getting a perm and wearing sparkly barrettes with ribbons???
Your day will get better. Just be glad you’re not a grouch like those who posted their “suggestions.”
I woke up at 4:30, stayed up 'til 6, went back to sleep until 9:30 - Yesterday was very productive. and they’re coming back today to do more. My apartment is becoming a home!
I don’t really make much of my living as a musician currently, although I do sometimes play music (ukulele or clarinet) at work, and get paid for it. Life is funny.
I had a friend who hated the smell of cut grass. I didn’t understand it.
I agree with doggioStickyBuns, they’re just twits. I say you go back in there and tell ‘em you are indeed thinkin’ about a new do and show 'em a picture of this one. I think you would need to own a hairspray factory to maintain it, however.
Da cave is now defilthyfied and all spiffy. Da bear is all clean and defilthyfied as well.
Breakfast (Part II) has been consumed as I was hongry. I made a 3-shmeggie nomelet sam’ich on a pumpernickel bay girl. Saw the bag of 'tato chips while I was making it, so instead of hash brownies on the side, nomelet had a bit of a crunch to it. It was nummy!
Wow, Missississississississippi is tough! They don’t just charge you with murder there, they also say you have a depraved heart as part of the charge!
Midget I’m going to try to listen to some of your links, but my puter hangs up on links a lot of the time.
I cut a bunch of lavender for my truck and it smells all pretty.
Then I cut some more and put it in my room and it smells pretty too.
It was growing out and covering the sidewalk so I trimmed it back quite a bit.
Finished up the hot dogs for lunch, fed the dogs and kitty, picked up my check. I wish M&T had the same app as BoA so I could take pictures of the checks to deposit them.
I think I will take short nap since I still feel kind of blurfy.
It’s so sunny and dry, clothes on the line dry almost as fast as in the dryer. I’ve already taken the first load down, and the second should come down very soon. In fact, I’m going to do the water seal thing on the trim that went up yesterday, and when I’m done, the all laundry should be dry.
If your town is missing it’s idiot or moron, do not worry, we will be sending them back on Sunday evening after this stupid excuse for a three day show is over. If stupid burns, I was in the Great Fire of London or the Fire Bombing of Dresden or both. I have to go work it Sunday but today I am free of that retardery, whew.
Tonight is late load in and chill with the hippies night and for once, I am looking forward to it.
I am still caffinating and waking, will be back in a bit
‘Tis all cloudy out and looks like it could rain anytime. Or not. Probably not gonna hang at the pool which is ok cause that means I can pretty much have tomorrow’s N.O.L. made today. Da cave is smellin’ all turkeylicious as I post. All I need to do tomorrow then is heat stuff up, bake the dressin’ and rolls and make the gravy. As we all know, if the gravy ain’t right, might as well just throw the turkey ‘n dressin’ out. Oh and I have canned cranberry sauce (yes, canned, that’s what we like, deal!) chillin’ in da fridge. Go Me!
N.O.L. was grilled burgers and homemade fries. YUM!
