The Sweet Sixteen MMP

Moooommmmm. If I were your new boss I’d have you at least cleaning or something. Or give you leave w pay until accounts were ready. Maybe you should volunteer to tidy the place up?

My .02 cents.

How you doin’?

Our neighbors who had been here for just about a year that were carting off junk by the cartload continue to move things. I have a strong suspicion that the house will be empty on the first.

Typical Dumb Straight Guy Moving technique. He’s been chucking things into the back of his truck, but the motorcycles were carefully loaded. :smack:

My friend from Hawaii is winding down his mainland trip in our home for three days (I picked him up at the airport on Sunday afternoon. I had to work that night (even though I had put in for a night off, grrr), and needed to nap yesterday.

Actually, I needed an actual SLEEP yesterday; I just didn’t get one until after 10 p.m. He wanted to stay up after dinner and listen to the Dodgers lose to the Giants on his computer. He also wanted to pick some sets of numbers to try to win the Mega-millions jackpot for tonight (even though I already called dibs on that one). He chose seven sets of five digits, and today wanted me to pick them up with ALL of the mega numbers. So this morning and afternoon, I got to fill out 105 play slips by hand*. Talk about BLURF.

I swear, if he wins the jackpot tonight, I’m gonna claim all fourteen of the Match five without the Mega number.

*well, 21 playslips, each with five picks.

I worked, I came home, I work early tomorrow, then HOCKEY!!!

swampy, that barely moves the needle on my TMI meter.

Cats, you have rom-ants in your pants?

Taters, sorry about being in close proximity to Flytrap.

If he’s letting you hold them all, just tell him the winning ticket is one of the ones you’d bought for yourself, then give him a couple thou out of the goodness of your heart.

P.S. You could give me some, too, since today’s my birthday

Up, caffeinated, off to work. Hockey tonight.

Happy Birthday rosie!!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 85 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see.

Today is a day in the orifice and tomorrow is a day of travel to the west forty. This should mean that tomorrow will be rain/tstorms/apocalypse.

And now this…

<AHEM> CLEARIN’ THROAT <AHEM>

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Happy rosie day!

I still have a sore throat but I’m going to give this going to work thing another try. Mainly because I forgot to call out last night.

Happy Birthday anyrose.

Headed to bed…I hate falling asleep after work and waking up at 1am.

Does anyone else kind of miss the days when the boards went down for maintenance every night? That used to be my signal, that it was definitely time to go to bed.

Happy orbit completion day, rosie.

It’s baking night, we have a annual Fall outdoor lunch at work every year around this time and I agreed to bake brownies. So one pan with walnuts and one pan straight fudge brownies. Hardest part will not be sampling the produce.

Work has been dead this week…not quite as comatose as Moooommm has (I’m surprised they don’t have some sort of ‘policies and procedures’ or other manuals for you to read…probably afraid of putting you in a coma). We have the same thing here, it takes about 1-2 weeks to get a computer set up for new hires.

Otherwise, it’s hump day, which makes it a good day.

Happy Hump Day!

It’s a cloudy cool 69 degrees outside. Only a 25% chance of rain today, but rain is predicted for the next 5 days.
YUK!

Happy Birthday Rosie!

No, just typical Dumb Biker technique; I know a couple gay motorcyclists who would have done the same basic thing.

Yeah – that. Congrats Rosie!

<singing>
We’re so sorry, little Taters,
We’re so sorry you’re going to Arkansas.
We’re so sorry, little Taters,
But we’ve read about the place
and it it is all just sort of blah.
And its spread to around here as well. Still rain coming from the mid-West. I blame Plant.

Happy birthday, Rosie.

Kopek, were my cousin Leroy who has an IQ of about 50 to move to Pennsylvania, it would raise the average Intelligence Quotient of both states.

Thank you, all

Happy Birthday!

My dad and I went to a concert last night. The local orchestra played lots of beautiful music.

I hope today has good things in store for me.

Oh, and I thought this might amuse people: At that job I didn’t end up keeping, I got an email saying “Please wear pants.”

(And no, pants, or lack thereof, weren’t a reason that I didn’t keep the job.)

happy birthday rosie!!!

Thank you!
