Well, the rush of T or T’ers seems to have passed, I’ll keep the light on until 8PM. More than before it seems that several parents group together and I get 5-8 kids all at once, instead of one or two at a time.
Did have a great moment; I gave the kids at the door two of the small Kit Kat’s each, and one boy said loudly (he was quite aggrieved) “All you have is Kit Kat Bars?” as if not having a selection of the finest candies for his Imperial Majesty’s choice was a crime against humanity and should be investigated by the FBI. I tried to hold it in (well, not hard), but laughed uproariously while holding the door as he walked indignantly back down the driveway. Hope I didn’t damage his ego any, but it was that funny (if you could only have heard his voice).
Made it this morn in time to get the pic I wanted before work event I needed to be at, so Yay for that!
Performed a medical miracle with Halloween decorations, too; I gave a fire breathing dragon a tracheotomy!
OTOH, I is :mad:, :mad:, :mad:! I entered a photo contest; got an email confirmation that I entered; however, it wasn’t really a confirmation; something happened & they didn’t catch it. They’ve announced the winners, posted all the pics, & Whoops, sorry, you were never included in any of it. :mad:
Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) is vacationing in Mexico with her daughter.
I am working and caring for her rescue dog and six puppies. It pretty well sucks.
I turned the porch light off, psycho dog makes anyone coming to the door a very bad thing.
I made my Grandmother’s spaghetti, with tomato paste and garlic.

Up and about, I guess, at least for now. Cooked a tray of small burger “sliders”, and had a couple for breakfast. While they were cooking I read Jeremiah 31-32 and Titus 2; Bible reading ain’t no lost time, in my opinion. Okay, I’m fed for the day, very likely.
November is now upon us, and that’s good. If I can get the other guys to submit their October monthlies before COB Friday I’ll be able to charge a couple-three more hours to the contract this pay period; otherwise, not so much. Rain and wind are coming in; at least my wind chimes are raising a ruckus. Okay.
Happy Thursday to all and sundry. (I think I’ll watch a couple of episodes of “The Twilight Zone” in a little while–that’s a good way to start just about any day.)
Terrible night last night - it took forever to fall asleep, then I kept waking from bizarro dreams, the most disturbing involved living in a dorm, not remembering my room number… I feel like I woke ever hour. Gonna be a long day.
But I have some work to do, so there’s that. And I’ll need to call my mom and find out what’s the deal with my sister in the horsepital. I didn’t even know till my daughter came home and said something. I wasn’t on the computer all evening and I missed the FB post. Always something.

YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and dark (TWPTB say clear), also windy, with a predicted high of 81 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse beginnin’ later this mornin’ and allegedly throughout the rest of today, tonight, and tomorrow. We shall see. I shall make a quest for cheap chawklit this mornin’. Said quest shall take me to :eek:Wally*World:eek:. I am also in need of a few provisions so I shall garner them whilst there. I have decided we shall sup upon ham 'n cheese omelets, grits, and bizkits.
Red I concur re a bone in ham. However, the one I baked yestiddy is boneless. I do, however, have a nice ham bone in da freezer. It shall be used to cook greens on Turkey Day.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, I suppose I should purty up to go about the public. Yes, I do purty up even for :eek:Wally*World:eek:.
Juliet Jr. ended up puking about a half hour before trick or treating… so she stayed home and took another nap. Romeo Jr. came up to me and said “trick or treat” every time other kids came to our door.
She managed to keep dinner down, so she’s at school today, dressed as one of her patron saints. (Her first name and both middle names are all saint names.) At least she got to dress up as something. Maybe this weekend, she’ll go over to Grammy and Grandpa’s house in her costume and trick or treat with them. Their next door neighbor is a friend of theirs, so they’ll give him some candy so the kids can trick or treat at his house, too.
Up and generally adulting. As it turned out we made the right call on the chips; trick-or-treaters were only a total of 27 last night. Our snacks are covered well into New Years. (We aren’t big snackers)
Morning. Been raining all morning, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, but looks to be moving off to the east right now. Have managed to accomplish nothing of consequence yet today outside of breaking fast with toasted raisin bread.
Hope Juliet Jr. gets to feeling better and can gather some treats this weekend.
I is a hurtin’ pup this morning; I can’t brain. I came downstairs this morning & realized there’s a large (9’), daid (unplugged) vulture in my den. I brought it in from the porch roof last night & left it for a few minutes to deflate, & then forgot about it.
I figger I might recover from yestidy’s 3:45am alarm/20 hr day just in time to do it again…on Sat. :smack:
I has so much to do & all I wanna do is knap (yanno, pronounced like knee & knife).
I also need to find some won’t power, as in I won’t go running to stores & get Halloween stuff for 75% because I can’t display everything that I has now, let alone adding more to it.
the excitement yesterday came from the city of Oakland in which my aunt received a parking ticket for 56 dollars by mail
Theres 2 problems with this
1 my aunt hasn’t left the antelope valley in about 8 or so years
2 she dosent drive she just owns the car and others drive her
they had the wrong car color and model on the ticket ….I thought it was fake and called (which is an actual problem I guess as they had an faq as to what a real ticket looked like ) …. no it was real but thank goodness they take a pic of the plate when they write the ticket because the meter guy put a 7 instead of a 6 in so it was taken care of we’ll get a letter saying "sorry our fault " in 7 to 10 days ……
Sore throat is gone now if I could stop being the human snot factory and get rid of the sinus headache ……….
