Howdy Y’all! I survived :eek:Wally*World:eek: and am now in the possession of cheap chawklit of various sorts. YAY! I also went by Sam’s and gassed up twuck whilst out. No rain as of yet but it’s on the way. Right now 'tis cloudy and windy out.
My sister is home. According to her FB post, they couldn’t find anything wrong. I think it’s either a possession or an alien. She has other ideas. Anyway, kinda good news - probably just a weird episode.
you’re lucky swampy around here they order just enough or send it back for credit …. all youd see is the palmers or franklin ect holiday only brands that are imitation bulk dollar store cheap sh-- that you didn’t want in the first place ………
My ear has been plugged up since Monday. Can’t hear out of it. I went to the (witch) doctor this afternoon, and I have serous otitis media, which is unusual in someone over the age of 10. It’s a let it heal itself thing. I am not amused. Stopped at Tar-Jay for cheap chawklit but their idea of cheap is only 30% off so I bought cookies.
I’ve never mumped before so hopefully I’m doing it right.
Went to Wally World early this morning to grab some post-Halloween chocolate and all they had discounted was the stuff that was Halloween-themed. And they just had a small end cap left of that. As Caspar would say: Booooo!
In happier news, I just procured my ticket to the local showing of the KISS: End of the Road Tour concert. You may envy me as I rock and roll all night.
Yep, Hank, you’ve done it right. And you’ll understand your Mumper nickname if you’ve ever watched Green Acres!
I’ve got a meatloaf and 2 sweet N.O.T.s in the oven, and I’ll boil lumped N.O.T.s for the menfolk. The other side will be green beans with mushrooms and onions. Supper will be yum!!
Welcome, Hank, (I would have called you Lensman, but that is known to a tiny audience, so Hank is much better. And a good, mundane post to start with; you’ll fit right in here. Albeit scoring KISS tickets is pretty cool.
wet one, hope the ear clears up.
FCM, glad your sister is doing better.
shady, I once got a parking ticket from East Cleveland, which was a puzzle since (1) I have never been in East Cleveland and (2) I was living in St. Louis at the time. eventually convinced them this is not the car you are looking for.
Rain stopped around noon and it’s down in swampy’s neck of the woods according to the NWS.
Worked, laundered. I was driving past my favorite bottle shop, when thw engine stopped, and Carmen violently sweved into the parkimg lot. So i went in and had a pint.
I got one, friends have gotten them, and we hadn’t been to the city. The only way to fight it is in person in court on your court date.
It’s cheaper and easier to pay the ticket than to take a day off, fight the traffic, pay for parking…
The city has a good thing going and they know it.
Other than being a bit cloudy it was a pretty day today.
‘Tis rainy out and a bit coolish, so brekkie for sup was a good idea. Since tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and ick as well, I yanked some chili outta da freezer. Chili, cornbread, and fixin’s should make for a good sup and ensuin’ fartfest.
Welcome, Hank! Cool about the KISS tickets! sari may be able to educate you as she’s become our resident expert on rock history. That is the history of rock and roll. Then again, she could know a lot about rocks in general.
Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) is in Mexico with her daughter. The rent house has a roof leak. I am caring for two dogs, two cats, six puppies, and eagerly awaiting her return.
I don’t enjoy cooking for just me. Since there was no used tenderloin at the grocery store, I bought P.F. Chang frozen chicken, and am cooking it with some vegetables.
Awww…flytrap, I hope you find homes for the little puppers when the time comes.
Welcome aboard Hank. I think you just might fit into the Mumper crew. I envy you your KISS tickets.

I managed to get the first of the month reports, including the ones recently handed off to me by the end of the day. It was rainy going in with an accident at the underpass a half mile from irk that made my 7 mile commute take 35 minutes. It was clear on the way home, but as soon as I got Nelson out the door to do his business, the clouds opened up. Needless to say, he balked at finishing up and we both got soaked.
It looks like a short day tomorrow (I hope) and if it doesn’t rain, Nelson will get his dog park run in.
Oh yes, that has been just about the most helpful website. It was through them that I found that copy of the first printing, in a Las Cruces, New Mexico bookstore.
The problem is that many listings don’t say which printing the book is. If it’s a later one and there is a picture, I can tell it’s not the ones I want because the cover changed. I’ve emailed several times and once got a reply saying they didn’t have TIME to list stuff like that. Humpf.
Just Googling most often sends me to Amazon, and I’ve found a number of errors is their listings.
Ooh, yay, fresh meat! Who’s got the squid & goat for the initiation? Err, umm, I mean welcome [del]Hank[/del]* Richard.
Only ran a little bit tonight; walked most of it, but then it was 74° & my preplanned outfit was long pants & sleeves of heavy cotton. I decided to wear what I wore a monthish ago as it was our 4th annual costume run so I couldn’t zactly change into more temp appropriate attire.
Only an old person would get that reference; had to go all googly eyes to figger it out myself. :dubious:
Damnit! Just burned dinner; somehow the oven got on broil instead of bake.
I took Akiko, the best puppy ever, over to my daughter’s school for a teacher conference today. The teacher had to reschedule, but Akiko got to meet all the kids. She had a blast!
I am tired of chocolate. I think there’s something wrong with me.
