The Trick or Treat MMP

Well, I’m back from the vet, and this time was easier than most. I picked Atilla up off of the couch and he didn’t resist, but when I started walking to the bathroom, where the carrier was stashed, he began to struggle some. I lowered him into the carrier and it took a few tries before I could clamp his back legs together to get him in there.

At the vet he doesn’t want to come out, and I have to tip the carrier up to make him leave.

Another bizarre story from Arkansas.
Thus must be why the traffic was backed up crossing the bridge.

We have ingested chili 'n fixin’s and corn bread. Fart fest to follow.

flytrap Arkansasonline.com has warned me that I have only one more article I can read before I must sign up. I get warned every time I click on the link. It’s kind of excitin’. Will this be my final warnin’? I get a thrill when I click on the link.

Do you feel lucky?
I has a :(, the rainy & windy weather has not only cxl’d tonight’s zombie walk & hearse parade but it means I need to get up an hour even earlier [del]tonight[/del] very, very, very early tomorrer, like 3-somethin’.

I am happy that you are entertained by the content of my posts. :dubious:

Capitalism can be very exciting.

baker, I had one cat that had to be put in a pillow slip to be put into the carrier. He was the one that would get carsick just going around the block. I actually chose his vet because the practice was one that I could put the carrier in a Radio Flyer and walk to. :stuck_out_tongue: He was sedated for the 400 mile move.

Irked, knocked off at 1:30, picked up a few groceries and took Nelson to the dog park. We hung out on the big dog side this afternoon where he got to play with a sweet pit mix and a great dane mix. Then we went through the BBQ drive thru where he got his usual pup cup. Now we’re just chillin’

What does it mean, “pup cup”?

Looks like the Board ate my post. But got to sleep in. I wake up at first light, and today firsat light came through my window at 0730. Made a beer run, and had French Toast and bacon for brunch(weather emergency preparedness drill). Watching Cawledge Hawkey on Youtube, and NHL hockey on the TV. Life is good.

Scurvy.

Evening. Did go down to the soccer field but didn’t see any of my parents; turned out I had told them the wrong park (we have two parks with soccer fields here), so I most humbly apologized and set up a time on Sunday. can’t meet them Saturday, I have games to coach (at 8am and 3:30pm) and referee (10:30am and 1:00pm), so I have a pretty full day.

Bills have been paid (or at least dropped off) for electricity/water/trash pickup. Next will come the internet/phone bill next week.

Life is so exciting…

a pup cup is where they’ll put scraps and the like for the dog in a cup ……

a place that used ot have all ya can eat ribs sold the bones by the bag so people wouldn’t get in trouble for taking them home apparently its a health dept. no- no

you know buttercup you and FCM need to trade jobs …… that way you can nap and she can be occupied

Depends on which drive thru is giving one. The BBQ puts a couple of ounces of pulled turkey in a condiment cup for the puppers. Starbucks will put unsweetened whipped cream in an espresso cup, DQ will offer a mini cup of soft serve, a couple of places will offer a chicken nugget, etc. It does work. The BBQ down the street makes decent cue, but there is better available in town. However, they do a) have a drive thru and b) give my dog a pup cup.

Happy Saturday!

Up too early, thank you bladder.
Had to stay up, thank you dog and cat, who think playing/fighting at 4am is appropriate behavior.

Weird dream about breaking up with my bf, going through his house gathering up my things, angry because I couldn’t find my shampoo and conditioner.
Thing is, I broke up with him over 20 years ago and he has been dead for 10? years.

Supposed to be cloudy with a high of 55 today.

I have lots to do, who knows what will get done.
Probably not much.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 43 (BRR!) Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of <snerk> 69! <snerk> and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall betake myself over to the church house this mornin’ where mowage will ensue. Gotta get the yahds all spiffed for convention comin’ up this next week. While there I shall also put oil in all the Altar candles etc. Actually it’s not oil, but liquid paraffin. Sloth shall ensue afterwards. Burgers with fixin’s and fries shall be supped upon. Also, I need to make a corn casserole (requested even) for tomorrow bein’ as tomorrow is first Sunday and that means brunch over to the church house. A gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea shall also be made. Hmmm… maybe not a whole lot of slothage will occur.

Now for an important reminder:

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before goin’ to bed tonight. Yep, that’s happenin’ again.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must ready myself to go do stuff over to the church house.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

also woke stupid early - several times! But as it crept towards 7, I knew I had to tend to Higgs, and now I’m up for reals. Brushed my toofies and everything!!

**sari **- maybe your dreaming self is reminding you to buy shampoo and conditioner?? It is weird dreaming about the departed, tho. One of mine featured a boss from 30-ish years ago. He retired at 60, and died at 62… :frowning: He pops up in my dreams periodically.

Rain finally came overnight and it’s still falling - ergo, no leaves will be mulched today. Apart from the usual laundry, I’ll be baking a lemon meringue birthday pie for my sweetie and I absolutely need to make my medicare decision and apply pronto! Whatever else I do will definitely be indoors.

**shady **- ain’t no way I want Butter’s job. If I had to deal with customers and vendors and money, I’d surely be in jail for murder. Things should be better after the first of the year when I switch to part time. We shall see.

Thus beginneth my weekend. Happy Saturday!!

Up for the second time today.
Damn bladder.

I need to go out for a bit later today, the city is holding a free recycling day and I have a few things to get rid of.

Now the only thing left on the list is to get with my son and sign up for his spring classes. There is an English class that is required and last semester all of classes were full by the time he got around to it.
He has not contacted his advisor, yet, which is irritating to me.
This shyness bullshit has to stop.
I have to get back with the school to find out about the charges that I think are wrong, but that will have to wait until Moonday.
My son is having a problem with his business team. Only one person is responding to his emails, so he doesn’t know if the others joined another team, or are the kind who will wait until the last minute to do something. The project is due on December 2, so not much time. I told him to be prepared to be a two man team. He made an outline and sent it to everybody asking everyone to pick a section and if they have any suggestions and nothing except for one guy.
Kind of rude of the others to not respond one way or the other.

Looks to be a NOS day although chilly. My ear is still clogged, and although it’s getting better, I don’t think riding would be a good idea. I’ll visit the barn and go to the sto. Then clean my craft room and use the new vacuum. How exciting.

I hauled trash and recycling to the truck and **FCD **is taking them to the convenience center right now. First load of laundry is in the washer, 2 or 3 more to go. Probably 3. Then pie-making time.

The sun is shining and it’s cool and still wet out there. Looks like we’ll have a pretty day. Maybe it’ll dry enough that I can do leaves tomorrow. Lots came down overnight in the storm. Turns out we were under a tornado watch, and I slept right thru it. **FCD **said there was heavy rain and wind and repeated notices on TV. Guess I was tahred, because both windows in our bedroom were wide open and I didn’t hear a thing.

Moooooom, don’t worry; iffen you were charged with murder, we would start a go fund me for your bail. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting, towels in the wash and the puppy crate cleaned. Headed to the 'Boro to pick up some water color paper for the heathen children’s craft later. Other than that, it’s just getting stuff done around the house.

Afternoon all.

Back from irk. It’s all soggy and windy, so I suspect staying in and slobbing is the plan for the rest of the day. I could do with tidying up the flat a bit, but I don’t come back from cleaning houses especially inclined to vacuum or mop at home. Signed up for an extra day on Tuesday too, which I may regret later, but I could use some extra money.

The attentive/stalkerish may recall that I couldn’t find a dentist locally, so wound up getting one near my old place, even though that’s 2.5 hours drive away, on the grounds that I go up there fairly often. Those paying vague attention should recall that I was up there last weekend. So, of course, I got a text from my dentist the day before yesterday reminding me that I need a dental checkup. Looks like I’ll need to arrange another trip :smack:

Hopefully my dentist will let me hang on til mid December when I’ll have free time again, plus then I can combine it with Christmas shopping at least.
