The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

I’m sure Pelosi already has scathing rebutals, verbal and legal in the works, for what it may be worth.

I"m sure McTurtle is prepared to do nothing.

KFC delivers thigh. And I’m sure that Trump knows that. However, I’m also sure that he only orders white meat.

That explains it, when he feels like eating something exotic, he goes to Thighland.

It’s a typical Trump move. He says he’s doing something and gets the good publicity for it. But then he doesn’t follow through on actually doing what he said and that doesn’t make the headlines. He used to promise large donations to charities and then not give them the money.

Never believe what he says he’ll do for you.

I wouldn’t believe him if he swore he was lying.

Mind. Blown.

If Trump has his way they won’t ever have to worry about a President of any party other than theirs. In fact, they won’t have to worry about any other President than Trump in his lifetime.

Also I don’t buy this idea of Trump establishing a precedent that Dems will then successfully emulate.

The Dems are too soft, and MAGAs have no sense of principles or consistency. IOKIYAR – It’s OK iff you’re a republican (iff = “if and only if”)

The GOP will accuse the Dems of hypocrisy to disguise their own “You guys were up in arms when Trump did this, now you’re fine with a Democrat doing it!?”, and the Dems will blink.

Here’s a bit of optimistic news…

Shortly after a deadly explosion in Beirut this week, President Trump offered a theory — backed by no apparent evidence — that the devastating incident was “a terrible attack,” claiming “some of our great generals” thought it was likely the result of “a bomb of some kind.”

Such a bold proclamation from a U.S. president would usually set off worldwide alarms. Yet aside from some initial concern among Lebanese officials, Trump’s assertions were largely met with a collective global shrug.

More than 3½ years into his presidency, Trump increasingly finds himself minimized and ignored — as many of his more outlandish or false statements are briefly considered and then, just as quickly, dismissed. The slide into partial irrelevance could make it even more difficult for Trump as he seeks reelection as the nation’s leader amid a pandemic and economic collapse.

My bold.

YES!!

Let him go out not with a bang but a whimper… as long as he goes!

He’s given up on Führer and going for Pharoah. “So let it be written, let it be done.”

He’ll do it in two weeks. Or around that time.

Two weeks from tomorrow.

I shall gladly grant you a boon in two weeks, for complete authority today.

Is this like the marshmallow test?

They’re worried that millions of voters will be just fine with a president signing an executive order that amounts to a transfer payment. They’re not necessarily worried that President Biden would just start printing money and rule by fiat. What they’re really worried about is that millions and millions of unemployed and/or broke Americans will expect the government to have a role in digging the country out of poverty - that’s what they’re afraid of. Mitch McConnell was somewhat successful in blocking Obama’s most ambitious plans because the country recovered from the recession thanks to early intervention from the federal government. Republicans worry that if President Biden takes office with 10-15% unemployment, he and Dems will propose massive expansion of the treasury…and that Americans will be highly receptive to it.

They have good reason to worry. People become a lot less philosophically opposed to ‘handouts’ when they’re the ones about to lose the roofs over their heads.

If you give me the price of a hamberder today, I shall surely repay you in two weeks.

Well, well, well…. looky here.

Because that’s MY job!!

“And I’ll do it bigger and better than he or anyone ever dreamed possible!”
