The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

Trump is not the least bit devious, that is, “showing a skillful use of underhanded tactics to achieve goals.” While he is certainly underhanded, he is not at all skillful. He blathers nonsense to be sure, but it’s not calculated in any way, and is more likely to damage his cause than help it.

Then you agree that dump is free of any moral values or remorse.

Duh…

You and I are one.,.,., on this one

I don’t know about that. It is the one skill that he does have, to use underhanded tactics to achieve goals. He utilizes others for their intelligence and diligence and ability to get things done, but you have to admit that he’s achieved some pretty impressive goals, and he has used underhanded tactics to do so.

You don’t have to be smart or wise or clever to be skilled at deception and manipulation.

In another world, he would probably be some dealership’s #1 used car salesman.

I was reading the tax avoider thread and saw that Asahi has said this:

Democracy doesn’t just function on its own magically. It requires cooperation

Which reminded me of the following:

Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed

Which led me to the following list of my grievances against Trump:

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us,
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren*. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity.

*Read as Republican Congresspeople and Senators

Jefferson is rolling over in his grave.

Trump has lost Scott Adams.

Is Mr Adams known to drink? He appears a little buzzed maybe, but I guess this is sort of good news?

Turns out it’s not all about trump. It’s all about Adams.

And here I thought trump had the toxic narcissist vote locked in.

Heh. “No one has been talking about me in months! Time to do something outrageous!”

IIRC Adams has been on the record admitting to lie before about not being a supporter of Republican presidents because he does get bad vibes from many that work with him or with other business associates.

Back to the old Adams I guess…

Mr. Adams isn’t upset that Trump is a racist.
Mr. Adams is upset that Trump didn’t lie about being a racist, thus besmirching the good name of the GOP.

A study at Cornell University said a thorough review of almost 40 million English-language news reports worldwide identified (ShitGibbon) as the single-largest driver of misinformation about the pandemic. … “That’s concerning in that there are real-world dire health implications,” Cornell Alliance for Science director Sarah Evanega, the study’s lead author, told the Times.

For some reason, she seemed to think that result was surprising.

Reports from reliable sources on twitter (no, really, actual reporters) that Hope Hicks who has been traveling with Trump recently, tested positive for COVID.

Well, that didn’t last long.

October Surprise #1: Hope Hicks, who traveled on AF1 with Trump to MN and the debate, has the Rona:

A Tower of Jello. No principles, just reactions. Like his hero.

Oh dear, I hope she didn’t infect Dear Leader during one of their…briefings.

I thought everyone going near Dear Leader was tested for the hoax.

Ooh! Hope “Hoax” Hicks

Surely the risk factor would be the debriefings.

Does this mean that motherfucker might have transmitted it to Joe Biden on the debate stage on Tuesday night???
