Biden’s team had better realize who they’re dealing with. I’ll keep saying they need to end the goddamn debates unless they are virtual. For fucks sake, if he ever needed an excuse to pull out of in-person debate, I don’t know a better one than “My opponent nearly fucking died and infected dozens of people around him.”
People have to understand that they are running against someone who is desperate to win, and he doesn’t care how he wins, and there are plenty of people in Trump’s White House who think in exactly the same way. They will absolutely knowingly infect people on Biden’s campaign and not lose a wink of sleep over it. They do not give a fuck. They want power. They live to govern for the sake of having power, so that they can enrich themselves - that is it. That is what people need to understand. Nothing else.
Standard DumpsterFire tactic. Storm out (of stimulus talks) based on his (enormous) gut feeling; gets smacked upside of head by universal opinion that it’s a stupid move; jump back in with, “Stimulus (or trade/ISIS/environment/etc…) is MY IDEA. See, my name is on the check.”

Ideally, he is hoping that voters might shift their attention back to a topic other than the recent super spreader event at the WH.

In line with that, he’s hoping (probably delusional) that the public will shift blame back on House Dems for holding up the stimulus.

As I said earlier, if 1 and 2 don’t work as planned, well, he doesn’t care. He’ll steal the election or die trying. I am not sure that Republicans can stand up to Trump’s legions of unhinged, triggered, insecure voters, either.
