The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

Incoming:

Sounds juicy.

So you like Broadway show tunes, eh?

So apparently, according to Donnie Corona, he got hisself infected on purpose, as a noble act of political courage.

No word on why the great leader chose to infect the dozens of individuals around him.

Food being delivered to food banks coming from the Department of Agriculture has letters on it telling the recipients that the food comes from Individual 1.

They better wipe it down real good.

Alas it end up being pretty much, meh.

Sure, in any other administration is would be a scandalous example of graft, but for the Trump administration, it’s just another Wednesday.

Yes, a big disappointment.

“Woody Johnson” giggles < / thirteen-year-old-me>

I was in a store yesterday and I saw a copy of David Horowitz’ new book, BLITZ: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win.

Now I don’t think the left needs smashing. But it occurred to me that if I was a conservative and I fully endorsed the idea of smashing the left, I’d still be asking questions about Trump. It’s not 2016 when he was promising to smash the left and make America great again and build a wall and art of a deal and whatever else. He’s been President now for four years. If Trump was such a great President, wouldn’t he have done more by now? Are right wingers wondering why Trump needs four more years to do all of the things he said would be done by now?

Collateral courage

No. They are sure that all he needs is two more weeks before the big announcement.

Dumpster fire, yes. But much more random-crazy than Hitler’s Russia strategy, which had a “method to his madness” aspect to it. Hitler believed that there was a serious risk that Stalin would ally with Britain and the US despite the non-aggression pact, as indeed Stalin soon did. Where Hitler was wrong was in thinking that his military successes throughout Europe would carry through in the invasion of the Soviet Union.

Whereas the Orange Imbecile doesn’t think at all. As insane and malignant as he’s been over the past four years, the last week has been utterly surreal. Apparently crazed by steroids and whatever other drugs he’s on, he’s lost his mind completely. Meanwhile the White House is so infested with COVID that you couldn’t pay me enough to even set foot in there without a hermetically sealed hazmat suit, the kind rated for Biosafety Level 4.

Does this make most of Florida a lophen?

Well, last thing I want to do is insult Hitler by comparing him to Trump, so point taken. I stand here, abashed.

An RNC.

This may well already have happened.

The problem is the tendency to assume “normality.” Normally, members of one Presidential campaign wouldn’t commit crimes (such as deliberately infecting opponents and their staff with a serious disease).

It could well be fatal for the Biden and Harris people to assume that the Trump/Pence people will behave with decency. I hope they know that and have taken precautions.

Frankly, any Harris staffers who’ve interacted with Pence staffers, today or on previous days, should self-quarantine for two weeks. They should NOT interact with Harris, much less with Biden.

I’m sitting here watching “Downfall”, motivated by somebody posting one of the subtitle memes on the other thread. Hitler in his bunker as Berlin is about to fall. He doesn’t seem as unstable or narcissistic as Trump, and he has a better hairstyle.

He had the better drugs. (mmh, Pervitin…)

“There were doubters. But by signing this Executive Order, I have build a wall along our entire Southern border; gotten Mexico to pay for it; shut down Planned Parenthood, the EPA, and the Department of Education; created a new healthcare system that works better than Obamacare; negotiated a new and better arms deal with Iran; negotiated new trade deals with every country in the world on terms that favor America; rebuilt our nation’s airports, bridges, and highways at one third of the previously estimated cost; eliminated corporate tax loopholes; deported all illegal immigrants living in the United States; enacted a constitutional amendment to place term limits on all members of Congress; fully funded Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security without decreasing any benefits; prevented terrorists from getting access to the internet; reclosed diplomatic relations with Cuba; reduced the deficit by half; cut the budget by twenty percent; abolished income taxes on all individuals earning less than $25,000 and all couples earning less than $50,000; broken up the merger between AT&T and Time Warner; put an end to mass shootings and other gun crimes; guaranteed all American workers six weeks of paid leave per year; brought all American troops home from Afghanistan while maintaining a strong American military presence in Afghanistan; and prosecuted, convicted, and imprisoned Hillary Clinton. Tough luck for Sleepy Joe Biden. Sad.”

Yes, these were all things Trump promised he would do if elected.

Not really. Too marshy, not peaty enough. Kind of like Cutty Sark.
