Yesterday trump had a Fox interview with Maria Bartiromo in which he didn’t really say any new crazy things, but it was literally ‘crazy on steroids’. he claimed Barr won’t be successful until he indicts Obama and Biden for their supposed spying. He says for the millionth time Hillary Clinton should be arrested for the 33,000 deleted emails. He calls Kamala Harris a ‘Communist’ and a ‘monster’. I didn’t actually listen to the whole interview, but I listened to a short clip in which he called Harris a ‘Communist’ 4 times in 30 seconds.
Some other highlights-- he doesn’t believe the polls that show how far he is behind because, quote, “Because we’ve never had this much support! They have a boat thing, they have 5,000 boats, they have thousands of trucks all over the country! I don’t believe the polls!” He says it’s beyond dispute that he’s done more for the Black community than anyone since Lincoln- “They don’t even challenge me on that!”.
I mean, I know everybody is suffering from scandal and outrage exhaustion, but we have a full-on raving lunatic President screaming for his political enemies to be locked up for imaginary crimes, and somehow this has become the new political normal; he continues to be propped up by most of the Repub party. I’ve said it before, but these are very strange times.
Well, don’t worry. He’s back to the crazy.

Anyone else who recklessly squandered lives and money in this way would be suffering legal consequences. Our leaders have largely claimed immunity for their actions. But this election gives us the power to render judgment. Reasonable people will certainly disagree about the many political positions taken by candidates. But truth is neither liberal nor conservative. When it comes to the response to the largest public health crisis of our time, our current political leaders have demonstrated that they are dangerously incompetent. We should not abet them and enable the deaths of thousands more Americans by allowing them to keep their jobs.
