To have any chance to win (a fair election, that is), he probably needs to be in the mid-40s. I base that on the fact that he squeaked by with an electoral college victory despite losing the popular vote. That could still happen, but he probably needs at least 45%, and given the intensity of the opposition this time around, he might need even more than that.
There’s also no mention of Mike Pence. Don’t election campaigns usually mention the running mate, just out of politeness?
Not so much - he’ll be on (some of) the lawn signs and bumper stickers, but the VP candidate really doesn’t get mentioned much. Disasters such as Palin being exceptions, of course.
