Sure, Trump might be kiss dictators’ butts.
Well, yes, the United States now regularly sells out our allies under Trump’s leadership.
Yea, OK, he treats women like shit, and of course Trump spends like a drunken sailor.
Certainly, Trump mocks evangelicals behind closed doors.
Naturally, Trump’s family has treated the presidency like a business opportunity.
And let’s not forget that Trump has flirted with white supremacists.
But Sasse is just fine with that. Not a problem for Sasse. He voted to keep this man in office. So we can see plainly that Sasse is absolutely, perfectly content to have a leader with these characteristics in office. As long as it’s a leader on HIS TEAM.
I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. I totally agree that the CDC and HHS can’t be trusted due to their leadership. I was talking about independent scientists and doctors reviewing the public data. You get some reputable researchers like Michael Osterholm here in MN, some of the folks out of Johns Hopkins, those kind of folks, and see what they say. Then I’d be more likely to get vaccinated.
I will say, watching the Republicans and their constant focus on voting suppression, that they understand better than Dems do that a non-vote for the other guy is just as good as a vote for your guy. It’s originally counterintuitive, but this is now a 2016 Trump vote that Biden no longer needs to counter… or, another way, Biden’s margin just got 1 vote bigger without Biden having to do anything.
This is behavior we should encourage: ‘Remember when the Republican Party was the shining light on the hill, under Reagan? To send a message that you want that Republican Party back, you should write in Ronald Reagan for President. You know it’s the right thing, Dad.’
The Sasse thing is more than a mere purposeful leak about Trump, it also shows they are preparing a ‘Pivot to Austerity’, to be trotted out if Biden is elected and on his way to becoming President. R’s are going to become deficit hawks come a Trump loss, and they’re going to use their tired, bullshit concerns about:
Deficits ($3.9 trillion this year, right? And you got $1,200 of that?)
Debt (when was the last time you saw a picture of that national debt clock? 2016? Fucker is still going, you know. Expect to see lots of it in a 2021 Biden Presidency)
In short, while this isn’t the thread to do it in, we need to be prepared to counter the economic messaging which will be spewed forth by every Republican mouth and asshole. … But, wait, I repeat myself.
Exactly! ‘Remember when the Republicans wanted to bomb Moscow and not Minneapolis? Let’s get those guys back. Write in ‘Goldwater’, Ma, and send a message!’
Didn’t he pretty much admit during his town hall this week that he really wasn’t paying attention to what the doctors were saying about the condition of his lungs? If anyone actually told him his life was in danger while he was in the hospital, it’s likely that he didn’t hear them, or didn’t process what they were saying.
Of course, given his past behavior, it’s just as likely that was lying again.
I had to stop contact with a friend of mine. I told him I got Jim Acosta’s book Enemy of the People and could not put it down. He then texts me to say he assaulted the woman trying to take the microphone. I told him he sounded like a manson member and theres just no point trying to educate him. he has a stockpile of guns awaiting the civil war so…
Do you understand that the issue is not that it’s a story about Hunter Biden; the issue is that there are a number of factual issues related to the story, and the Post has yet to be forthcoming about offering verification of those facts (or allow others to verify them)?
If another media outlet had a story about Don Jr. engaging in immoral acts with a goat, with a “picture” of such an act as evidence, and was unwilling to allow a third party to verify that the photo was not altered, responsible news outlets and social media outlets would be justified in not boosting the volume on that story, either.

You should also realize that the First Amendment only applies to actions by the government, not to businesses. Facebook and Twitter have the right to decide what appears on their sites.
