While this is marginally better than those spineless Republicans who actively support Trump (like Lindsay Graham), it’s still spineless, IMHO.
What possible good does it do to write in the name of a long-dead politician? He may as well have written in the name of Mickey Mouse (or Mitt Romney’s wife). All of these write-in votes are essentially the same thing: throwing one’s vote away. 
Yeah, it’s not much, but the more Republicans throw their vote away, the better, I reckon.

Yup. The fuck has turned me into a bit of an anti-vaxer. As far as a COVID vaccine is involved. I will NEVER trust anything that comes from his administration, and the people he has put in charge of the CDC etal. ALL Trump does is lie and project his crimes onto others all to try to save his worthless ass. I wouldn’t trust him with the change in my pocket. American banks seem to have finally caught on.

I think it’s not so much to appeal to other states as to:
- punish California for not being on his side
- serving as an example of what he’ll do to a state that doesn’t side with him.
- handy scapegoat - because fascists always need a scapegoat.
I’m there are solid numbers, but that doesn’t mean the owners of those numbers want to release them. Netflix, for instance, never releases viewership numbers although they very much have them.
Ben Sasse is a pathetic coward, only saying this now because he thinks Trump is going to lose.

Kelly’s also a pathetic coward, but we’ve known he lacked honor and decency ever since he was caught lying about Frederica Wilson and refused to apologize to her.
The good news, honestly, is that you won’t have to. Once the trials complete and a bunch of the data (not all of it, but probably enough) is released to the public, there will be tons of actual experts in clinical trials and vaccines to interpret the data. Your doctor will also have a professional opinion.
Granted, we’re all going to have to wade through some bullshit, but we have the ability to slap on our critical thinking hats and review the opinions.
Critical thinking? Sure. The CDC and HHS is now under control of a Trump bootlicker. The USA has dropped out of WHO. Yes there are very many renowned and knowledgeable scientists and doctors under them. But I can work at home just fine for a while. Let senate republicans Trumps family, and his administration take the vaccine first. Though, of course, we can’t trust them to do so since they will be getting a saline injection.
My above post isn’t CT stuff. It’s just that nothing that DJT or his administration can be counted on as truth. Sure science has plenty of grey areas, but Trump lies when he doesn’t even have to.
I give Sasse more credit than that. He’s always been a mild critic of Trump; the topic came up because a woman asked what his standing with Trump is.
That said, he voted to acquit Trump so he’s not as strong as he could be.
For what it’s worth: According to my sources working on Operation Warp Speed, precisely zero of the companies developing vaccines are playing ball with Trump’s push to cut corners. The drug companies know Trump won’t always be in power and don’t want to expose themselves to the massive liability of bypassing the usual trials just to please Trump. And even if the FDA and the CDC were to lie about a vaccine, there are tons of external scientists involved who would cry foul. Trump isn’t getting his vaccine before the election, period.
This is the same governor who literally had to smuggle PPE into his state at the height of the pandemic, squirrel it away at an undisclosed site, and call up the National Guard for protection against the federal government.
