Too many media tried to maintain “impartiality”. And continual (unfounded) attacks from the right wing about bias makes it a sore spot. But, they forgot an important aspect of impartiality: journalists are supposed to be biased towards the truth. If a journalist has the facts to disprove a statement, it’s their obligation to their own integrity and our society to report it as a lie.
