Absolutely. Not necessarily Catholic, but a right wing theocracy. A whole bunch of them are working towards that goal, Pence and Meadows, Cruz maybe Graham—- the whole Faith and Family Coalition toxic hyper masculine Christian prayer circle crowd.
There are a couple of things that make them scary. When they sit in these meeting and talk about how God has given the the great privilege of serving Donald Trump, they mean it. They’re convinced that this is all part of God’s plan, he’s their tool in the war against secular humanism. Trump was going to tear it down, then Pence was going to reclaim the country for God.
They also have no compunction about lying , it’s part of their complete and utter disrespect towards anything secular. They love the way Trump lies.
For guys that view every natural disaster that strikes an area where a liberal lives as a sign from God, they’ve been awfully good at ignoring the signs, like a freaking plague taking out the economy.
I think they’ve have been enabling each other, praying and convincing themselves that this was a test of their faith, that their doubts were the work of Satan, all the stupid God-bothering stuff evangelicals do to avoid the secular evils of critical thinking.
Then their fate met the ultimate test at the other Four Seasons, the one next to the dildo store with viewing booths and across from the discount crematorium.
I really have no idea what those guys are thinking about now, and that scares me a little.
ETA If you think I’m exaggerating, go find and watch the tape of last years National Prayer Breakfast and listen to them insult Romney’s faith.

(Back in the ‘70s Barr’s father was my grade-school principal…but I had no idea he, the son, was part of this particular cult.)
That might explain why the walls were erected prior to election day.
I would suggest to Melania, Baron, and some of the saner members (existence?) to not go down in the bunker, don’t take any pills, and don’t partake in any flavored drinks.

My first thought is Trumps propensity to break any toy he’s not allowed to play with. I imagine the White House will be wreaked by the time the Bidens move in.
Perhaps they’re trying to generate some work for their new friends at Four Seasons Total Landscaping.
I can see that.
But how about this: he’s planning on putting in as big a stadium as will fit there, so he can go on having rallies every day from now on without worrying about another Four Seasons fiasco. Also won’t have to pay other venues-- this is all taxpayer-funded.
I think he needs space to bury all the bodies of people he intends to knife in the back over the next two months.
