I agree with both of you. Just looking down the road…
That’s a perspective I hadn’t thought of. Please expand a bit. To whom will he seem the “reasonable person in the room”?

The new citizenship exam has questions biased towards the Individual 1 viewpoint. For example, “Who does a US Senator represent?” Answer: “The citizens of their state.” Note, not “the people who live in their state.”
I think that answer opens up a whole raft of problems – like (as I understand it) states don’t have “citizens”, they have “residents”.
Just fired the pentagon advisory board, replacing them with highly qualified individuals like David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski
To the political center. He can credibly tell them he’s listening to everyone and this is the reasonable thing to do.
To the left, he can say a step in the right direction means we’re going in the right direction. Support this and then we can take the next step.
To the right, he can say whatever is politically expedient because they won’t listen anyway.
His audience is the American people. He needs to get Senators (both Democratic and Republican) in purple states to feel heat for not passing legislation.
Biden’s coalition is center-left, with the center in the lead. That’s the current reality and everyone needs to accept that even if they don’t like it. The left needs to make noise, but when it comes time to vote on bills, every Democratic Senator needs to be on board.
To the passengers on this bus who don’t want the driver’s job to be as difficult as possible.
This cheered me a bit, only because it will surely cause McConnell to tear out (what’s left of) his hair:
We need those two seats in the Senate, boy howdy.
That is absurd. Joe Biden is a corporatist. His coalition is center-right. The left voted for him because they would have voted for an inanimate carbon rod just to mitigate the damage of Trumthulhu. The actual left is not at all enthusiastic about him, apart from the fact that he does not become hopelessly entangled in the treacherous word jungle and is able to drink beverages with one hand.
I like the light blue. It’s very distinctive. I’ve seen it at LAX several times over the years, and it’s always obvious you’re looking at AF1.
Individual 1 blames the “Democrat stronghold” USPS for his loss.
And the weird goes on…
Look how diverse he is: now he’s throwing people under mail trucks.
Am I the only one who wishes the generals in the Pentagon just treat these two asswipes with the respect they deserve, and simply refuse to meet with them at all?
From the perspective of The Rest of The World, Biden is to the Right, not even within sniffing distance of the center.
The Republicans are, at the moment, basically in North Korea territory.
(edit) also what eschereal said.
Treating them with the respect they deserve would be giving them shovels and sending them to deepen some field latrine pits without taking the field latrines out of service.
Maybe have them vacuum the parking lot.
I’m sure Robert Lewandowski must be sickened to have the same name as Corey’s.
I stole this, but
The grift goes on

The Individual 1 administration is preventing the Biden transition team from meeting with Pentagon intel.
The Washington Post surveyed every Republican in Congress. 26 said they believe that Biden won the election. Two said they believe Individual 1 won the election. All others said they don’t know. And Individual 1 is demanding to know the names of all of the Republicans who said Biden won.
