The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

Or storm the wall and tear it down. Isn’t that what patriots do?

There are actually two dead Capitol policemen now, although the second may not be related to the first. Trump isn’t going to say anything about them because to them they are obstacles to his goals of retaining power and eliminating enemies.

To Trump, they are like the British troops killed at the Battle of Lexington.

Wasn’t that the Battle of Lexington Airport?

Pilots, tragically shot down, in the primes of their lives.

Didn’t he say something a while back about San Antonio having a wall around it? I guess he thinks it’s at the border somewhere.

I am hoping that Trump shows up at the Alamo car rental counter at Dulles Airport and gives a little speech about how he remembers this place.

Serious question: Where is AF1 going to land, Brownsville? Seems like a bit of a drive to Alamo from any airport that can handle AF1 and associated security detail.

Members of the Hidalgo County GOP were “calling all Conservatives, Patriots & Freedom Fighters” on Facebook and Twitter to welcome Trump to the border area with posters.

“Freedom fighters”? Are they fucking serious? (rhetorical question)
They really do want more violence, don’t they. They really think that this is where they should be going now.

The Hidalgo County GOP should be considered a terrorist organization, IMO.

Careful, you will give @Snowboarder_Bo a new tagline. “ Let’s all go down to the wall and throw stuff over it!

To be fair, she did also say that violence is bad.

Fahrvergnügen :oncoming_automobile:

Yes, it was. It was (indirectly) highlighted during Trump’s brilliant Fourth of July speech commemorating the Revolutionary War:

“Our army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rockets’ red glare, it had nothing but victory.”
– Donald J. Trump, Genius

Lexington Airport (ICAO airport code KLEX) was bravely taken over by colonial militiamen after it had been occupied by British redcoats in 1775. To this day the National Archives contain the only existing copy of a historical approach chart to KLEX RNAV (GPS) Runway 33 (Tower frequencies 128.8 and 257.8), of great strategic importance to the American militias between 1775 and 1783.

Probably Harlingen, which used to be a USAF base. It’s not that far (~10-20 miles) and can support widebody aircraft.

Brownsville and McAllen are also options, though I’m not sure if they can support AF1.

That said, this is looking a lot like a “Four Seasons” snafu and people probably thought they would go to San Antonio, which has no shortage of airfields.

But Alamo (city) is closer to the border, isn’t it? so if he’s going to see his big beautiful wall, it does make sense to go to Alamo?

I’m willing to bet someone thought The Alamo(battle site) is in Alamo(the city).
You’d think by now someone would double check things.
Then again…

It’s not the car rental place because Rudy isn’t allowed to plan these things any more. But they managed to totally fuck it up anyway.

Alamo, Texas is 239 miles from The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas

It’s a big state.

Speaking of the Slovenian hooker (why, I was, just upthread, thank you for asking) I read an interesting comment just a short while ago. In addition to the Orange Traitor promising to bugger off on the 19th, not only skipping the inauguration by failing to engage in the hallowed tradition of welcoming the incoming president to the White House, it appears that said Slovenian hooker is playing the same game. Apparently by this point in the transition, the outgoing and incoming First Ladies have normally had many conversations and planning sessions to facilitate the logistics of the move-out and move-in. What the Bidens have heard so far from the Slovenian hooker: Zip. Nada. Not a single word.

Frankly I suspect the Bidens are fine with it, as long as she promises to fuck off on the 19th along with the orange menace and the place is properly fumigated. But the utter disrespect by both Trumps to the protocols and traditions of the office is just completely reprehensible.
