Not waking up and wondering if we’ve gone to war over a tweet is a refreshing feeling indeed.
Every day for the past four years, the first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was roll over and check several news sites on my phone to see what utter bullshit Trump had tweeted or done (and let’s be honest, to see if he had started a nuclear war overnight).
Most mornings were started with me rolling out of bed, thinking “Holy crap, what a fucking dipshit.” (And let’s be honest, also thinking “Thank God we’re not all incinerated.”)
Today, I rolled over, and just out of habit, grabbed my phone and checked a few news sites. Without exception, every story I scrolled over I thought “Boring, boring, boring, boring…” And then I rolled out of bed with a smile and thought, “It’s gonna be a great day.”
I’m just really looking forward to going a day, or five, or 15, without thinking about the president.
Pretty much the same here. Second on my daily agenda is Google News. My first thought was, “snore”.
Nice is boring.
Boring is nice.

Precinct results from Palm Beach County show Trump won more votes than Biden throughout beachside Palm Beach, like most other affluent coastal areas in the county.
They were just voting that way in order to keep him away.
Then they doubly deserve him for trying to foist him off on us for another four years.

But the 2-word Chinese dismissal reminds me of working overseas for the Defense Department, I had to provide an offical letter to them via an officer that was much smarter than a lot of Washington folks were. His comment on reading it was to hand it back to me and say one word: “Rubbish”.

My spiteful side is a little disappointed that we haven’t heard about any large-scale state or federal charges yet. How long can it take to cobble together a grand jury?
But my more adult self is enjoying the meditative bliss of just being able to say “President Biden.”

It has been already 24 hours since the inauguration. Why is there no news story about some fantastical lie said by the president and a controversial decision? What is Joe Biden waiting for? He should have lied about something that is easily verifiable and is of no consequence at least twice by now.
