I found myself in just that situation… I finally got some work last week, and it was just enough to put me over the threshold that I LOST money by working… So in some cases it actually is a disincentive to work. During this CARES act stuff, after having to finally go on unemployment (first time in my life), I was receiving $1108/week through unemployment. Last week I worked enough to make about $600… So I got paid exactly zero this week from unemployment, and don’t actually get paid for the work I did last week until the end of this week, and the timing couldn’t have been worse… Very much hand-to-mouth these days, and have been flat broke since Friday… All because I had the audacity to work.

Good points here. I do wish the Oregon protesters would go home at night–announcing that policy prominently. That way, anyone committing mayhem in their name after dark would be revealed as false-flag operatives trying to give Trump juicy footage of “violent leftists”.
This situation is being gamed by the pro-Trump fascists in a way that could be very effective for them. I wish the anti-fascists wouldn’t (inadvertently) cooperate. I wish they’d make the fascist goals as hard as possible to achieve.

I’m guessing that they are objecting to the commemorative coin depicting both Reagan and Trump that the donor’s are promised, not the photo. If they have legal control of Reagan’s image, then they can nix the coin (or at least demand a cut in true Trumpian fashion).

I just came in to post the same thing, they objected to them making that tacky gold clad coin. Trump supporters love that gaudy piss-elegant collectible crap. They’re actually stupid enough to believe that their collection of Elvis plates or American Patriot silver clad spoons and Reagan-Trump gold clad coins have true investment value.
Trump certainly picked the right marks for this scam. If you still have any doubts that conservatives are gullible, check out the advertising on Fox News or Breitbart.
The Fox News conservatives are fodder for every shady-assed business out there, overpriced disaster kits, natural miracle cures, collectible gold and silver, water and air purification kits, get rich quick courses, collectible plates and coins, you name it…all those companies that give you annoying “Are you sure you want to put your family’s lives in danger by leaving this webpage.” pop-ups.
Trump just can’t stop himself from pulling the little cons, even as he’s running the long game. And he certainly found his marks.
After he leaves office, I bet he reopens Trump University. And I bet it’s wildly successful and Trump becomes a true billionaire by literally robbing all his supporters blind. He will literally scam 35% of the country out of their life savings
In all seriousness, this time I think these things do have investment value.
It’s a “special” time in American history, and stuff like the Trump - Kim Jong Un commemorative coins are already worth many times their original price.
If I had no moral scruples, I’d be buying a bunch of the coronavirus coins.
But I’d rather not invest in misfortune.
And he can make TU totally online. No buildings, infrastructure, overhead, or staff. Just a couple of guys/gals with wigs, glasses, and a change of clothes. It will be a license to print money… oh, wait… has he tried to take over the U.S. Mint yet? Maybe that’s the October Surprise.

I think he’ll probably do what it was rumored his real intention was in 2016 before his surprising win-- he’ll start some form of a “trump news network” and will be the main personality on it. It’s perfect for him-- he can surround himself with fawning syncophants and be the center of attention all the time, without all those annoying requests to ‘lead’, ‘do something to help Americans’ or ‘act presidential’.
They need to make sure to include a laugh track, and Yakkity Sax.
