Good idea. Because there’s no possible way that pissing off an administration insider with possible dirt three months before the election can go wrong.
With a lack of self-awareness that’s stunning even for this crowd, the Trump administration has officially condemned the Chinese government for proposing to postpone upcoming elections in Hong Kong.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany stated “We condemn the Hong Kong government’s decision to postpone for one year its legislative council elections and to disqualify opposition candidates. This action undermines the democratic processes and freedoms that have underpinned Hong Kong’s prosperity.”
And then her head exploded.
Swear to god, I checked this on three different sites just to make sure it was a real news story and not a parody.
Looks as though anyone tasked with removing Trump would have to parachute in:
All this talk of how Trump won’t have any choice about leaving is ignoring the mercenaries/“Homeland Security” troops, whose numbers are no doubt being ever-increased. Sadly, many enlisted personnel in legitimate branches of the military could be persuaded to join these White Power ‘Trump is Lord’ Shock Troops.
Bill Barr is ready to assert that this is all legal. The rest of Trump’s cabinet is helping make this work in their various ways. The reward: full-on oligarchy, with no accountability.
… I get the pleasure people derive from picturing Trump being dragged out. But the likelihood is that he will have plenty of firepower at the ready to mow down anyone who attempts it.
“A week ago, you said you’re in the process of developing a strategy that’s going to be very powerful involving the coronavirus. Where is that strategy?”
Here is the word-for-word response given by the President of the United States:
“I think you’re seeing it, and I think you will see it. And one of the things that we’ve done – it hasn’t been utilized fully yet – but we’re all set to march when it comes to the vaccine. We have great therapeutics that are testing very well. And we have great vaccines from incredible companies – Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer and Merck and all of these great companies, and they’re doing very well - is that they’re doing very well. And the delivery system is all set logistically. We have a general, that’s all he does is deliver things whether it’s soldiers or other items. And I think you’re going to see something that’s going to be spectacular.”
