The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making Part Deux (Part 1)

It’s crazy I know - but just look at that picture of Mike Pence in my post. He’s tall, stoic, well built, and has the gray hair of a wise leader. When he calls somebody a “disappointment” it should cut straight to their soul! How on Earth can you expect a man like that to deceive us???

  • Caution - This post may contain extreme sarcasm

And is him saying this going to make Roberts more likely or less likely to favor the Republicans in his decisions? Because were I Roberts and had I the legal leeway in a decision to lean one way or the other, I’d be sorely tempted to deliver a hearty “fuck you” to the Republicans for that.

Fortunately most of the Justices are more professional that I am.

I think todays Republicans would consider Roberts a “RINO”.

Frankly, I have no problem with conservative beliefs - I share a number of them. At one point I was a Republican, then a RINO, then “independent” (I realized I wasn’t a Republican at all at this point but wasn’t yet ready to identify as a Democrat) then ultimately I accepted that in today’s world I’m a true blue Democrat.

To answer your question, yeah, I feel great when I can deliver a hearty fuck you to my right leaning friends. I have to check my beliefs now when I think about voting to know if I’m voting my heart or just voting to piss off Republicans. Fortunately, the answer to both is usually YES!

If I were a conservative I’d be more worried that Roberts might on some, perhaps even subconscious level, think “Well if I start making more conservative opinions now then I really DO look like a lapdog of the current administration, don’t I?”

Yeah, well, uh,

I am the Constitution

I think trump did want to win in 2016, but he never wanted the responsibility, just the power and prestige. He probably wants to win even more now than he did then, but I think he wanted to win. Maybe in the primaries it was more of an attention getting stunt but not after he won the nomination. Just MHO.

He’s not known for hiring the best and brightest and taking their advice, but he must have someone on his campaign team that knows about the EC and how to best manipulate it. He probably didn’t even know how American elections work, but he has someone who does. Maybe Putin hooked him up.

I would’ve thought that was one of Smapti’s Trumpian parodies.

He’s really grasping. (“uh…let’s see…I’m talking to Catholics. What do they like? anti-abortion, got that. Guns, right? Everybody likes guns, right?”)

Quote was from Pence.

It seems clear to me that Pence is saying that Supreme court justices need to vote and rule only on behalf of one part of the country only; that Justice Roberts has forgotten that his oath was to serve conservatives.

I’m amazed that Pence said this out loud. He has clearly and unequivocally stated that Justices in the Supreme Court should rule NOT on the law, or by following the constitution - but rather they should rule in a partisan fashion to please one single political party or movement.

Astounding.

This has already been hashed out.

Individual 1 says the success of his policies will end racism.

Yup, yup, and yup.

Why not just say it will be deleted in 100 years? Why convert 100 years into hours? (Not that I’ll care in 100 years.)

When Pence says “conservatives”, he means Christians.

He means Trumpians.

White, male Christians. Women, maybe, if they’re standing right next to their husbands. And not saying anything. Or looking at anybody.

He’s one step away from saying he has a final solution to the race problem.

Pence believes that women should have the right to vote for the candidate of their husband’s choosing.

This isn’t really surprising, though; republicans have been nominating partisans since the 1980s, and to be fair, Democrats have looked for left-leaning partisans as well. The Courts have been gamed by the system.

When you’re a head in the jar, you’ll care.
