Here’s another good word salad for you:
Well of course. If he went, no doubt he’d be expected to throw out the first pitch, and those tiny hands would likely make it too difficult to grip the ball properly.
Yeah, cheap shot, I know. I’m sending myself to bed without dessert.
For those who just tuned in, Trump had a meeting with the leader of a hostile foreign power. Without any of his advisors present: he barred them all. There’s no good reason to do this from the perspective of US national security. No innocent justification.
What deals did Trump cut, alone? What is Putin’s next plan?
Afterwards, he had a press conference demonstrating that he was beholden to Putin: the dictator has some king of hold on the US President. It’s not really about Trump’s refusal to, “Hold Putin accountable.” It’s about his inability to, his clear susceptibility to blackmail due to his past indiscretions. No, I’m not thinking about Stormy or even the pee tape. I’m thinking about Trump’s reliance on dirty Russian money after US banks would no longer lend to him. If Russian intelligence is halfway competent (they are) they have a dossier which can send Trump and members of his family to jail. Money laundering is a crime.
Congress has the constitutional power to put things right. They could subpoena Trump’s tax returns and get to the bottom of this. McConnell, Ryan and the Republican heads of various committees have blocked investigation at every turn.
Alleged critics such as Senator Flake could cross aisles and arrange bipartisan oversight, like the founding father’s intended in such a circumstance. They won’t.
America is being led by a representative of a hostile foreign power. The Republican party hasn’t cared and doesn’t care. Nor do their donors. Nor does the US corporate elite. If this is to be put right, it must happen this November.
“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
“A Republic, if you can keep it.”
Private screening of the pee tape?
Gee, I dunno. Putin has such an honest face, and why would he lie about something like this?
I hope no further proof is needed as to Chump being a 100% genuine, died-in-the-wool traitor, as is your average Republican anywhere.
Ike skipped it in '56, but he was recovering from surgery.
Trump’s approval ratings have flattened out at around 42%. Among self-identified Republican voters, it’s consistently north of 85%. So most Republican congressman sit on their hands, revealing that their alleged hawkishness is based on tribalism, not concept or principle.
The puzzle is why Flake or McCain or Collins or Graham or hell Lamar Alexander never took advantage of the razor thin majority and joined the Democrats in voting for …once routine bipartisan congressional oversight. Past Presidents haven’t hidden their taxes. Past Presidents divested themselves of things like, oh, hotels located in Washington DC that are frequented by foreign dictators.
Cut the Gordian knot: there are no Republican moderates left. The GOP is beholden to the far right and the far right is shamelessly beholden to extremists of the electronic media and the least enlightened members of the top 1%. They know they can win over neither public nor expert with their ideas: all they have left is a grab-bag of electoral hacks.
The news is speculating Traitor Chump, winging his way back to Washington, may not even be aware yet about the reaction to his Helsinki press conference. What, Air Force One can’t pick up the Internet or radio or anything?
I still think all the bad press is hidden from him, except for a few that F&F mention in his morning briefing. The front page of any website would send him on a tirade, hopefully one big enough to give him a heart attack. (Don’t worry, he’ll survive… the BIGGEST heart attack in history!)
Putin’s probably happy with it.
No frickin’ way. He sees this stuff on TV himself. That’s all he does is watch TV and play golf. And screw porn stars. (Hey, how do I become President?)
And Sergei Lavrov. He was positively orgasmic,
You’re in full troll mode so I’m sure it doesn’t matter to you if you’re correct or not, just that you get a response.
So, you’re saying you don’t want people to discuss your posts?
I would urge you not to feed the trolls. (And not to show quotes from slime I have on Ignore.)
I work with a guy who is completely convinced that Trump is still riding to the rescue of America. He’s Floridian.
Fits very well with Post #22960.
FFS, folks, stop responding to such idiocy. Manson1972 goes on ignore, okay?
Done.
Ah, Florida Man strikes again.
Imagine Trumpoltroon handing 9-11: “I spoke to Osama. He says he didn’t do it.”
