I thought this was the Pit, a place where no discussion is necessary, just one-offs about whatever is bothering you? I’d be more than happy to discuss actual things that have happened, and not “Ooooooh, Trump just said something outrageous!” like it hasn’t happened 10000 times since the inauguration.

I don’t know what anyone is so upset about. Did anyone expect that a Trump-Putin meeting would turn out well?
Remember when conservatives used any semblance of a coincidence to link liberals to communists? Remember the broad brush they used to label any socialist-leaning statement to be irrefutable proof that their intention is to destroy America and American values? Remember how they looked under every creaky floorboard for some kind of way to label opponents with the RED SCARE?
Well now Trump has been blatantly obvious about his preference for Putin. No closed-door meetings required. No missing or incriminating emails. No cloaks and daggers. Trump is waving his little hands, strings pulled by puppeteer Putin, and the conservatives still murmur about Hilary’s emails. They don’t have the spine to stand against him because they’re afraid for their own professional lives. They’re just going to wait for the mid-terms and slink back to their little holes. They’ll appear on Fox & Friends and bitch about political correctness in front of audiences too stupid to recognize outright traitors.
