The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Wait, refresh my memory: what connection does Kavanaugh in particular have to the Parkland shootings?

He’s going to be a Supreme Court justice? Who will be ruling on gun cases? I would think it would have been obvious.
:smack:

Okay. I thought you were saying that he personally had something to do with THAT particular event (eg he’d commented on it or represented the NRA or something.

No, he didn’t, which is why it was a bit odd (and telling) that he was so rude to the family of one of the mass shooting victims.

Cavanaugh just admitted that his dad bought him beer in the sports stadiums they went to, together. He then looked like “i probably should not have said that.”

I could enjoy taking a piss on that grave too.

Kavanaugh is known as a staunch defender of “gun rights”.

That would not be illegal in some places. In Wisconsin, for example, accompanied minors are allowed in drinking establishments and the adults of age are allowed to buy them alcoholic drinks (not sure if a 21y/o can just buy a 19y/o a drink). Most towns in Wisconsin have a church, but every town has a bar.

Off Trump topic, but my mother was from N Dak and they described the small country towns as a 1 Bar town, 2 bar town, …

In the early days, Waco only had one lawyer, and he was broke. Then another moved in to town, and they both prospered.

Damned civilized!

It’s positive, in an inside out sort of way, to see a man being shamed for something completely immaterial to his qualifications.

Rude? I thought he was weirdly terrified.

Or maybe not so weirdly, after all.

Unfortunately, I believe Kavanaugh will be confirmed. I wish him all the success that Judge Crater enjoyed.

Fun (sort of) aside: I just heard someone saying, “If you don’t like Kavanaugh as supreme court justice, vote against him in November”. This, sadly, is what the country has been heading for and, also sadly, part of the reason why we have this disaster in the White House now.

I blame on Chump, and Kavanaugh, on every single moron who a) did not vote; b) voted a loony third party; and even c) went out of their way to vote in a Republican primary despite not being Republican just so Chump might get nominated. Elections have consequences, and it’s all you guys’ fault.

Don’t forget all the shitheads who carried a torch for Hilary for 30 years , If they could have gotten their heads far enough out of their asses to see the direction of the winds, we could have had a democratic nominee who would have stamped the orange menace into goo.

Yep. But please don’t blame those of us who couldn’t vote because of some jerkish enacted legislation which made it harder to vote in certain areas (Georgia, for one). Also, I was lamenting the fact that there are people who apparently believe that supreme court justice is an elected position and is on the ballot for this November.

Does anyone else think the Republicans will dump Trump after Kavanaugh goes through?

I suspect that the Spring 2019 GOP will behave differently than the current GOP.

They may remind us of how they were against Trump before they were for him.
