There would be no President Trump if he had run as a Democrat. He simply could not have found traction among Democrats in the first place with his message of visceral stupid. Only Republicans drink the Brawndo.
This is correct.
“The Media” would have reported what Trump (Democrat) did and said. They would have done pretty much exactly the same thing - reporting every dumb comment and nonsensical tweet.
And then, this hypothetical Trump-Democrat would have been pushed to one side as a wing-nut, and would never have made it though the primaries. Not because of what the media reported - but because the Democrats would not have stood for this idiot taking over their party.
Of course, they would have gotten shit for this… .for being so “undemocratic”, but so be it. The good of the country comes first.
Pizza, obviously, it’s Friday.
I’m confused. We’re having red beans and rice with sausage. Does this mean you’re wrong or we’re not American?
Need answer fast…
Yes.
Or no. We are, in fact, having pizza tonight. But are we Americans?
Also wings.
Wait, what if I’m having pizza tonight and I’m not American?
<confused>
Are you having bourbon, too? Then you are American.
Gin means you’re a Pommy Bastard.
What if I’m having a Fish Fry at a local tavern, with a wedge salad and cheese curds, and a Brandy Old-Fashioned?
I know it was unintentional, but you were not supposed to even accidentally reveal the catchphrase of the Democrats-2020.
You’re either a time traveler from the 1920s or a pod person. It’s a toss-up.
Oops! Sorry.
digs, that just means that you are a True American™.
Also, in Wisconsin and freezing your balls off.
Right on both counts. Although after a couple of -25 days, anything over zero F feels tropical!
Fun fact: we drink a lot of brandy, all on account of that one cocktail. My dad probably made four hundred per year, for Packer fan friends and family.
Cecil Hisownself had a column where he tackled the Big Issue of our day: “Do Wisconsites account for 75% of U.S. brandy consumption?”
In Wisconsin, they allow accompanied minors in taverns, and parents can buy their children beer. In my state, minors are not allowed in bars at all (possibly 18y/os as servers). The tavern operators’ guild is a powerful political force in Wisconsin.
Where do bangers and mash with a pint of Smithwicks fit into these calculations?
Aw crap. I had a stromboli for dinner and am now enjoying a nice rye while watching an old Nova on Netflix.
Am I American?
in my belly!!!
Bourbon or Canadian? If I could afford it, I would have a nice Bulleit Rye every evening.
Red beans and rice is Monday, dammit. Get with the program! (It sorta is, but we actually also had red beans and rice here today, along with some chicken sauce piquante.)
To paraphrase The Master, once you’ve had fried chicken, watermelon and pecan pie, you know what they eat in Heaven.
