Remember that old argument that the Republicans will come to regret supporting a national emergency declaration by the president because a future Democratic president will use the same power in the future? Yeah, the GOP has that covered. They are putting forward legislation to limit presidential emergency declarations.
But, it specifically won’t affect Trump’s emergency declaration, just the ones that come next, because these guys are hypocrites one and all.

Let’s try a thought experiment here. Who will be affected by this? Oh, yeah; military members who are stationed overseas and wish to get naturalized, military members whose foreign national immediate family members wish to get immigrant visas when their sponsor transfers back to the US, and, this cannot surprise anyone, people who want to apply for refugee status. I wonder whom else Dumbtrump will screw with this.
