So basically, the entire interview was fucking bananas.
That’s what Cilizza’s saying right?

Trump’s word dumps are streams of consciousness, without filter or control valve; It’s oral grievance diarrhea.
Trump has the most things the matter with him! The BIGGEST things!
I watched some. After a few minutes, I kinda lost track of what he was saying, I was hypno-toaded in rapt attention by how they could sit there, motionless, and keep their faces fixed in an expression of fascination and approval. And they did that for like fifty minutes!
I would pay a lot to see a video of them right after they think the camera has shut off.
His very presence corrupts his surroundings. He’s like Pig Pen, with the cloud of dust & dirt- except with Rudy it’s corruption.
I feel like the woman in the center (no idea of her name) is almost–but not quite–masking her disgust for President Stable Genius. Perhaps I’m projecting my own thoughts, but I’m reading some genuine dislike on her face.
Brian Kilmeade gets a WTF look from time to time that makes me think he’s not as dumb as he looks.
Only Steve Douchy seems to maintain a good enough poker face, even when he tries to interject some reality into the conversation.
I thought that was Midsomer County, UK.
I do like how “Midsomer Murders” likes to insert little meta remarks when someone comments on all the murders. It’s gone well over 20 seasons, right?
Yup. That’s a lotta corpses.
The only thing that is saving Trump’s ass is the economy. That’s it.
Unfortunately, it’s probably the biggest factor that voters consider.
If you are bored as eff and want to amuse yourself, check out the Fox and Friends cognitive dysentery. Shit, Steve Douchey even looks skeptical. It’s like they’re aware of how deranged he sounds, like they’re talking to someone with Alzheimer’s.
Speaking of the Bus, and its big wheels that go round and round,
… asked if he was nervous Trump might turn on him in the impeachment crisis in which Giuliani plays a role, “I’m not, but I do have very, very good insurance, so if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid,” Giuliani replied with a slight laugh …
“Insurance”? As in “dirt”?
Giuliani’s own lawyer, Robert Costello, who also was on the call, then interjected: “He’s joking.”
Yeah, yeah, that’s it, “joking”, that’s the ticket.
The “A Warning” book by Anonymous says Individual 1 wants to pull out of NATO.
Meanwhile, the clash between career Navy command and Putin’s hand puppet are starting to heat up. And wouldn’t you know, the right wing propaganda machine is urging the commander to resign - not because they admire his principles and willingness to stand up to a rogue president but because they’re basically cheering Trump on.
Let that sink in: the president has every right to encourage violations of human rights and to declare on his own what military justice looks like. For purely political purposes.
I can’t stress it enough: Trump’s demolition of institutions and the rule of law is bad enough, but now he’s going for it all. He’s politicizing the military.
And the GOP, naturally, is completely enabling it. If they had any fucking brains at all - never mind ethics and decency - they’d realize they’re creating an autocratic presidency.
…which is what Vladimir Putin wants him to do.
The New York Times reports that the Navy plans to proceed with expelling Gallagher from the Navy SEALs, on the theory that a tweet isn’t an official order and if he does make it an official order, the Secretary of the Navy and the admiral in charge of the SEALs will resign.
Think of it as MacArthur in reverse. A crazy president fires his top military commander for being too sane.
I find it hard to believe that Trump would tolerate open defiance. In a way, open defiance of CiC isn’t good, but what’s worse is the insanity of the CiC.
A threat that might carry more weight if the America-hating fuckstick actually valued institutional memory and legacy expertise. The next SECNAV and SEALS CinC will probably be buddies of Eric and DJTJ from their yacht club.
Turmp wanted the US to pull out of NATO ever since he got back from a trip to Moscow in 1987. I wonder where he got the idea.
You’re thinking they don’t want an autocratic presidency. I still remember carefully explaining to a friend, back in mumblemumble, that voting for someone because “he’s a man of action!” and “he’s strong!” isn’t a good idea unless you think the actions he takes and the way he exercises that strength are correct. He wasn’t convinced. To a lot of people, boisterous blunder is the very essence of authority, noise and speed are what marks “decisiveness”, and “decisiveness” equals leadership; they’re always and forever surprised when the brake-less 18-wheeler runs into their living room.
