I’m starting to think Trump is leaning on the Federal government to NOT send aid to any state with a Democratic governor if he can possibly get away with it. He doesn’t even give the Governor Whitmer the courtesy of a name, to him she’s “that woman in Michigan”. WTF? He’s been caught on video saying that he’s told Pence not to talk to the governor of Washington.
Holy fuck were fucked.
This is the PotUS basically saying that if he doesn’t like the governor of a state he’ll leave the people of that state to live or die on their own.
They should take those reefers that will shortly be piled with corpses in New York and Chicago and all the other cities and drive them down to DC to park on Pennsylvania Avenue with banners on the side saying “Trump killed these people”.
While the line item veto is not currently allowed, apparently an exception has been made for the Trump administration. In his signing statement, Trump has decided he can ignore the parts of the stimulus bill involving oversight that he doesn’t like. I would say this is obviously illegal, and a president won’t get away with it, but we all know that he will.
Damn, man. Reading your attempts at clever rhetoric is like watching a nine-year-old’s attempts at performing a magic trick they read about.
I’ll tell you what I tell them: go practice in front of a mirror until you’ve got the hang of it, and then go show it to your mom or dad and get feedback, and only perform it for other people once you’ve gotten the hang of it.
Somebody should tell him he has almost plagiarized his predecessor - On March 11, 2009, Obama issued his first signing statement, attached to the omnibus spending bill for the second half of the 2009 fiscal year.
Michigan was a swing state in 2016, one that was critical to his election. His telling the state basically “fuck you, go die” is not going to help him there come Niovember.
Isn’t there anti-plagerism software out there enabling teachers to compare their students’ essays with stuff already on the web? If not it should be pretty simple to code it – it only needs to work on a 3rd grade level.
There is at least one report of suppliers being instructed not to sell to Michigan. Unconfirmed and anecdotal, but entirely in keeping with the malAdministration’s approach.
In separate interviews last night, Speaker Pelosi and Rep Katie Porter — who has already acquired a reputation for her ability to nail CEO and lickspittle asses to the wall — begged to differ. Of course CFSG will argue that Congress has no oversight power, and given the current makeup of the Supreme Court he may get away with it; still, they won’t go gentle into that bad night.
What’s worrying me lately is what appears to be a trend of pitting rural America against city folks. That “county by county” thing, for instance. As in decent and respectable folks are going to pay for a bunch of useless slobs in New York.
