Because the Feds – and by that I mean the FBI and the various U.S. Attorneys – live by the adage that “the wheels of the law grind slowly but exceedingly fine.” They work quietly until they’re sure they have a solid case, and only then do they pounce. Many a mobster or crooked politician has believed he was getting away with it for years, until the day the Feds showed up at his home, office, etc. with warrants and a whole lotta banker’s boxes.
I grabbed one at random, no. 7. It regards a note left on a windshield. 'Nuff sed.
Sure, but the raid happened on 26 July, and it’s just now making the news.
OMFG! A note on a windshield! At least something good came from it:
I suppose Okra will say this is a great example of how Don Cheeto is MAGAing.
Because someone finally leaked. The Feds usually don’t leak, but we are in interesting times.
Nope; asking for only 10% is actually quite generous when the claim in question is about a default assumption.
Well, #2 is actually a (presumably Muslim) woman setting fire to the mosque she attended.
Still – I see no sign that it was assumed to be a hate crime, and given that she was arrested the same night, that seems a very thin parallel to this current case. Not sure why it made the list. Oh wait – actually, I have a solid guess why it made the list.
It is a fake hate crime. That’s what was being talked about, that’s what I showed. But yes, go ahead and nitpick. I am sure it makes you feel better about it.
Total tangent, but the film is based on a book, American Hero, which actually purports to be a true story. (The President is GHW Bush, and the war is with Iraq.) I recommend the book highly – the “true alternative history” slash conspiracy theory genre is pretty audacious.
Hmmm… where’d I leave that 14-sided die…? Ah! (shooka shooka) – 6.
What the hell does a garden-variety personal harassment tactic (sending out random obnoxious letters under the name of the harassment target to cause blowback) have to do with the subject at hand?

He started making a list, ran out after none and had to scrape the bottom of his shoe.
I should have said the book purports to be *partially *true. I don’t think Beinhart, the author, is implying that characters like the PI, the Hollywood producer, or the handjob masseuse(s) are based on real people.
(Seriously, I recommend this book. Beinhart’s version of the usual boilerplate “this is a work of fiction” disclaimer is, by itself, a work of art.)
Remember when Obama went to a baseball game in Cuba?
So why is the Howling Yam still at his resort and why have the two-faced weasels Kasich and Cruz been silent?
Because IOKWARDI.
John Kelly is trying to control Trump’s twitter account. This will not end well.
Holy Cow! These people are nuts!
I wonder if Trump’s staffers will include this article in his twice daily feel-good press clippings folder? Probably not.
Trump’s base is drifting away — and may never return

“Loser”, that will sting if he ever sees it.
He does still have some supporters. Trouble is, their “act” has gotten stale as well.
I also grabbed one at random. Some Jewish guy painted swastikas on his own house. It doesn’t have many details, not sure how **Okra **determined him to be a “leftist”.
