Christ Almighty we DO NOT need for our story to be about Trump and Yulin.
But alas we’ve got plenty of homegrown fakenews vectors in Puerto Rico and as they recover the commnications they have begun doing their thing.
One thing for sure: The situation in PR is NOT “genocidal”. I SPENT 10 DAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. It is a disaster, it is dire, the people are in pain and there has been slow and haphazard response but it is not “genocidal”. Let’s get a sense of proportion.
Proportion? When there is a chance to condemn Trump? You must be kidding.
Much as I enjoy mocking Trump and the Trump-related, I think it’s pretty likely he meant “the most logistically challenging natural disaster recovery event”. A minor misspeaking at worst.
All this. Most higher management folks would be fired for all the shit our dumbass “president” pulls. He is a piece of shit of the highest order. Money cannot buy class. And his deplorables lap it up (right, Okra?).
Holmwood: So, in order to be certain that the vampire is dead, I have to drive the stake directly through the heart? Nothing weird happens when you become a vampire, right? The heart doesn’t move elsewhere in the torso, does it?
Van Helsing: No, his heart’s in the right place.
Snopes has weighed in. Apparently, the account is real but disagrees with his church’s own press release.
Bates has repeatedly called for people to donate to his church’s relief efforts, and the press release states that the “entire island is a disaster zone,” that there is a “complete power outage,” and that there are millions of people without food, water and electricity.
We do not yet know exactly why Bates posted his message about CNN, but we can note the effects. Hundreds of thousands of people shared the post, which brought attention to the Church of Scientology’s relief efforts and provided an opportunity for fundraising.
That general might know a thing or two - the good things and the bad and the lessons learned… But at this point, I’ll believe Satan himself before I believe anything from Trump.
Man, this is like you forgetting that you were in favor of free speech.
But that was different == white supremacists, Klan and Nazis. No free speech for anyone else.
Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there!
Gotta love the commentary at your video:All written without a trace of irony (or self-awareness).
And THOSE are the sort of people I’m supposed to be nice to???
You’d think police in Puerto Rico would have more important things to do at the moment than to call a radio station 1,500 miles away. Are the international phone lines from Puerto Rico even working right now?
It was fake.
…
Maybe this is what flushes him right to the toilet.
It won’t be. Dammit.

No one is claiming that the US government and FEMA is doing nothing. Its just that the response is anemic compared to recent disaster relief response on the mainland.
Yes, they sent 10,000 troops. In contrast, there were 31,000 in Houston after Harvey and 40,000 in Florida after Irma.
They are treating Puerto Rico like a foreign country. The philosophy seemed to be to drop off a bunch of relief supplies at their doorstep and let the locals take it from there. The “plan” seemed to be to trust any local that could get their hands on a truck with fair distribution. That plan was stupid and deserved to be called out.
I’m still awaiting , with an odd mix of anticipation and dread, for the moment when Trump realizes that Puerto Ricans can leave their devastated island and come to the US to live and work whenever they want. And he wont be able to stop them, no more than he could stop me from moving to Kansas. Maybe they’ll just all come here. And vote.
One wonders what sort of Potemkin relief operation 45* is likely to be shown while he’s there. I find it hard to believe that any staffer who wants to keep his job is going to let him see anything but good news stories he can boast about.

It needs to be emphasized that “his Church” is the Scientologists. They have a reputation for
a.) going into disaster areas to plug their own Church
b.) getting into confrontations with the media.
They are the Donald Trump of organized religions, only nastier.
Lest you think I’m dumping on religious folk who are doing their all to respnd to emergency situations:
Inside the religion’s unorthodox healing missions.
Scientology relief work is largely focused on delivering “assists,” a menu of touch-healing techniques said to reconnect ailing bodies with immortal spirits.
The healing promised by assists is radical: limbs purged of aches in minutes and minds freed from trauma on the spot. Using only their hands, and instructions from the Scientology Handbook, ministers swear they can even render a drunk man sober in minutes.
They were at Ground Zero right after the Sept 11 attacks:
Please consider supporting these organisations and individuals in their fight against the Cult of Scientology.
Intercepted emails from Scientologists in New York City are revealing, it shows that this group is intentionally using deceit to gain access to the vulnerable people still suffering from shock and grief. Moreover, it has deliberately interfered with legitimate mental health practitioners sent there to assist.

Apparently they didn’t even want him to go for fear of triggering another one of his tantrums.
Trump went to Puerto Rico to tell them that they’re damaging his budget by needing money for recovery.
The president dings the hurricane-ravaged U.S. territory for having "thrown our budget a little out of whack."

I saw that. Also some bullshit implying that the lazy Ricans still aren’t doing enough to help themselves. And how great his leadership has been.
I just… I can’t even…

What a piece of shit he is. There is nothing good in him at ALL.

It feels like Trump has observed humans, but can’t quite capture any human qualities. It’s like our country is being run by Beldar Conehead, but without the intelligence.
