Based just on the Politico article, I’m a little skeptical of this. First, it says the phone was examined by technical support, not security specialists. Identifying an actual compromise is challenging, and general support staff may not be able to do so. They may have entered a memo or a ticket that went to security but was not confirmed. Second, Politico says the phone had stopped working. If it had been compromised by a state actor, I’d expect it to continue working. I wouldn’t think it would be such a noisy infection that it would interfere with normal operations.
Just speculation on my part, as an information security guy.
There’s not going to be any nuking, at least right now. My guess is it has something to do with the Iran deal. It has nothing to do with him firing anyone in his cabinet, because he wouldn’t consider that a “storm.” The shitgibbon’s words *are *teasing something military-related, considering the setting he was in when he said it. And now I’m reading that he’s pulling us out of the Iran deal and going to be much more confrontational with Iran going forward. Yay. So like I said, no nuking…yet.
Yet there are people out there who are excited, happily, when Trump does something like that. I have no idea why.
