The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

My guess is he never gave it much thought, but when asked about it, his instinct is to boast about himself. Then, after being called out, his next instinct is to bullshit his way out of it by repeating the lie with more and more confidence. Then his final thought on the subject was, “I’m Billionaire Donald Trump and this guy is a fucking nobody so who gives a shit about any of this. I’m right, and he’s a fucking nobody.”

I agree. Most people are asked a question and they give the answer that’s true. Some people might lie if they have a reason to lie and they think they can get away with it. But Trump just says whatever makes him sound good and doesn’t even consider whether it’s true or false or even plausible.

There is something deeply corrupting about French Impressionist paintings. As Scripture has it, the love of Monet is the root of all evil.

That sound you now hear is not, in fact, the sound of people saying “Looooouvre.”

It’s “Boo.” They’re booing you.

A relief worker who has worked on relief efforts in ten countries has resigned after what she claims was witnessing relief workers bringing in Puerto Rican residents and having them give the relief workers manicures and pedicures inside triage tents.

Doesn’t he also have a framed fake TIME cover in a bunch of his properties?

He did, until Time demanded they be taken down.

I once thought that Frumpfwit was a talented con-man. But I’ve known some real con-men and they were talented at switching to a new lie when appropriate. Frumpfwit just doubles down on easily-disproved lies.

Yet the American people get what they deserve. 300 million(*) of them enrolled in Frumcktard University and every single one of that University’s alumni voted for Frumpfwit. The less moronic of them knew they’d been conned, but “Hey! Maybe a good con-man is what the Oval Office needs!”

    • Yes, the 300 million figure seems a little high, but this is what showed up with Google. #Facts, false or not, are fully fungible now.

He grabbed women. That’s totally fine by their values. It’s having a loving, consensual relationship with another man that’d be evil and destructive.

I think a lot of the Republicans who voted for Donald Trump have no doubts that he grabbed women by the tango, and I suspect most of them blame the victims for letting him do it. In their minds, if they didn’t want it to happen, they wouldn’t have let it happen, right? Easy to think that if it’s someone else’s daughter, someone else’s wife, someone else’s sister. But some of these people have an old-world mentality which assumes that sexual predation is just part of a man’s nature and that women have to just accept it and exercise extreme caution and modesty when in the presence of men. It’s as if they’re living in a jungle, that rape is as natural a desire for men as meat is for carnivorous animals, and women are told to watch out for the lions.

They had ways to shut it down.

Conservatives do believe in jungle metaphors in other areas. Social Darwinism is the great overarching example.

Even as a man who has written many a book report without reading the actual book, this is an embarrassment:
*
"Q Mr. President, the JCPOA fix that’s being floated by Senators Cotton, Corker, and Rubio that would remove the sunset provisions, strengthen IAEA inspections, do some other things. Does that meet the bar for you, or do you need more?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I think we’re going to take a look, John, at what happens. We’re going to see what happens. We’re going to see what they come back with. They may come back with something that’s very satisfactory to me, and if they don’t, within a very short period of time, I’ll terminate the deal."*

He’s asked a question about details of a deal that he has railed against for years, and his answer shows that he has absolutely no idea what the deal is.

Ha! Ha. Ha… Oh, I have to laugh. It’s either that, or sob hysterically. And drink. I’ve been drinking too much since Trump was elected.

Or you’re not drinking enough.

It’s a lack of spiritual values that’s the problem. If those women had just spent more time in church, they would have been safe. They never would have encountered Donald Trump there.

I’ve started noticing an uptick in assertions that Donald Trump WILL be reelected in 2020. That’s actually encouraging, because NO predictions made this far ahead have ever come true. A lot of the supporters just seem to be trying to convince themselves anyway.

Every day is a new low in the Trump White House. A month or two in, no one thought it could possibly get worse, but every day it still does. I can’t even imagine the clusterfuck a year from now, let alone in 2020.

That may be a bit unfair. To my own recollection, “Social Darwinism” was more commonly an insult towards conservatives rather than an accepted premise among them. At least, most will bristle at the suggestion that their opinions are cozily and comfortably close to brutal eugenics. They just say that their principles and policies result in more wealth for all.

At any rate, that’s how I remember it.
