Sometimes I hate being right.
Guy’s an idiot if so; being so obvious about it that the news immediately picks it up means he’s poison-pilled himself for any future similar attempts.
“I can change him.”
The Daily Show did a joke about Lewandowski switching to Mullin (“I come with the plane, and now so do you”) and honestly it wouldn’t surprise me anymore.
Great quote from Ezra Klein’s latest podcast:
“Trump believes it is not his job to know about the world. It’s the world’s job to know about him.”
It’s easy enough for those of us who seek out news from legitimate sources and aren’t in the cult to see that he’s lying. But keep in mind, that 77 million voters in the last election fell for his bullshit. I’ve heard people say with a completely straight face that Donald Trump would never lie.
Fell for his bullshit for the third time.
Which suggest that rather than falling for his bullshit, they agree with his bullshit.
I grew up in NYC at the same time as the boy born on third base, and thought he hit a triple, already had gained a non-contractor paying, slumlord reputation. Then the trashy casinos in Atlantic City. He was Spy magazine’s favorite subject, often depicted or caricatured on the cover.
I reckon it was the ridicule he had to laugh through at the White House Correspondence Dinner, and Putin’s money and connections that got him well into the primaries. He denies that, as well as refuting the consensus of both the CIA and the FBI, which determined that Russia had, in fact, meddled with the election. He said it in a stand-up conference with Putin to his left.
Many people believed him. 2/3rds of congress was not willing to vote him out. Twice.
You and I may never have believed or trusted him enough to get paid for a day’s work.
I’m sure somewhere there’s a banner, lettered in gold leaf, “Mission accomplished in Iran!” and if he stood under it today, half the country would believe it.
Now we know why there was no ticker-tape parade for him, the last time he “took Iran out”.
He’s entered an unwinnable war against a foe fighting on their territory. Napalm them all you want. Bomb the fuck out of them on St. Patrick’s Day. Netanyahu is not. Not this time, going to let trump declare a small ‘v’ Victory. Maybe when the score is 1,000 Americans dead and Hegseth claiming a million Iranians are either dead or “cowering in rat holes.”
“I’m the strong commander who stares down tyrants, obliterates terrorists, and never backs down,”
…and then asks for other countries to come help him in Hormuz.
If the Bacardi family takes pity on his loss in Iran and he promises them the Havana brands or Rum, he can have Cuba as a consolation prize.
trump: March 8 - Trump accuses Starmer of seeking to ‘join wars after we’ve already won’
trump: March 14 - Donald Trump urges UK to send warships to secure Strait of Hormuz
trump: March 14 - (Bloomberg paywalled) Trump calls for countries to send ships to reopen Hormuz
bolding mine
Maybe when the score is 1,000 Americans dead and Hegseth claiming a million Iranians are either dead or “cowering in rat holes
Don’t count on it.
Something tells me the Venezuelans aren’t going to see much oil money.
The Oil Tankers Trump Seized Are Costing the U.S. Millions of Dollars
Although President Trump said seizing tankers would be a financial boon, the cost of maintaining just one aging ship has already reached $47 million.
Consider the case of Motor Tanker Skipper No. 9304667.
The United States seized the tanker and its more than 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan petroleum on Dec. 10 as it made its way from Venezuela to Asia.
Since then, the costs to maintain the tanker and its oil have mounted.
The government has already spent $47 million repairing and maintaining the aging ship, which is only valued at $10 million, federal prosecutors said in a court filing. And it will most likely need to spend another $5 million over the next few months to cover insurance and crew, among other costs.
Moreover, storing the ship’s oil costs the government $15,000 per day, or about $450,000 per month.
As Trump once said, “We’re gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you’ll say, ‘Please, please. It’s too much winning. We can’t take it anymore, Mr. President, it’s too much.” So are we winning yet?
The government has already spent $47 million repairing and maintaining the aging ship, which is only valued at $10 million
Brilliant!
Well, I’m sure as hell exhausted.

Fighting Iran’s Undead Legions is harder than we thought, they keep coming back.
Nancy Mace is going with “this is what they signed up for”.
I replied to that post, saying that when I look at the current maladministration,I feel like Charlton Heston in The Planet of the Apes.
Did that … did that motherfucker neglect to thank me for my attention to this matter??
That’s it. NOW, I hate his guts.

We’ve destroyed 100% of Iran’s military… bla blala … maybe they can fly some paper plane kits with M-80’s, yet we’re still calling out for help from anyone, especially medical personnel good at extracting heads from asses. In the past three months, we have utterly defeated Iran twice And we’re really close to a third time, but for this Straight of Hormuz. Who put it there?!
Hegseth says to use Navy Shipts to escort tankers through it and maybe the Suez Canal. Yet, Navy people who know about rockets say both our ships and the oil tankers will be sunk by missiles. And a whole bunch of sunken big tankers and Naval ships will make it even more difficult to get oil through! Hegseth doesn’t know shit about Navies so he is definitely taking the blame for this.
I hope the UK, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Spain, and Greenland can send some ships
All I want is to claim Victory! ASAP GO USA!
