I look at comments on some news sites that reported on the Jesus imagery. Most of the Maga responses range from “meh” to “he’s my President, not my Priest”. As far as Maga is concerned, it was just another Tuesday (but now on Monday!)
I think we may be quibbling about terminology. I think he was aware of legal and illegal - a sociopath’s stand in for right and wrong - and was able to filter his behavior based on an awareness of consequences. That filter is now gone due to his spiral into dementia.
Depending on how future elections go, his co-conspirators may or may not face some of those consequences, but those consequences do theoretically exist. Trump will not face those consequences himself because his mind is too far gone to understand them.
