So David Squires was drawing the truth™ in this weeks cartoon I linked to? He is a genius, he really is.
I think you have to go all the way back to Frodo’s reply to ThelmaLou who did not understand the cartoon I just linked again to in the last paragraph. That was four days ago in this very thread. Frodo used the term bottled in a sense that Coriolanus aparently never heard or read before, but I think he understood it nonetheless. Context and a bit of thinking, I supose. Then he went on a tangent.

May be I should’ve gone with the original Spanish “Pechearla”? (From “Pecho Frio” literally “cold chest” but actually errr “bottling”)

I would disagree with that etymology (is it from an AI?), “pechearla” IMHO comes from the act of being a “Pecho Frio”, a bottler.

Yep, but, as far as I know “pechear” by itself is not bottling, you can even say that someone “Le puso el pecho a las balas” “Put his chest in front of the bullets” for a courageous action.
“Pechearla” only has the meaning of “bottling” because it refers to the state of being “Pecho Frio”.
Then again I may be mistaken and indulging in my own version of Folk Etymology.
